Following on from the release of their warmly received new single ‘Had Our Heaven’, Sunshine Coast-based purveyors of indie-pop, Selahphonic, have just delivered the accompanying music video with an incredible DIY effort – shot and edited by the group themselves.

Recorded on an old 1990’s VHS camera, the clip features actual footage captured from band member’s family holidays, keeping in line with the nostalgic themes of the song, which recalls memories of their childhood and youth.

Since its release, ‘Had Our Heaven’ has seen support from the likes of triple j Unearthed, Australian community radio and worldwide tastemaker blogs. The track glimmers with synth-laden hooks, infectious lead-guitar licks and is backed by a simple, yet sturdy and bouncing rhythm section; all combining to complement the catchy sing-a-long melodies of endearing front man, Jamie Coyle. 

‘Had Our Heaven’ is the lead single lifted from their forthcoming new EP ‘Therapy’ and was recorded at Cooper Lane Studio, Sydney by Chris Collins (Gang of Youths, Tigertown, Middle Kids). To celebrate the release of ‘Therapy’ the band has announced five shows across the East Coast, which commence in April.

Recently the band was also announced on the Sea N’ Sound Festival, which is due to be held in Mooloolaba, QLD on Saturday June 10 and features Boy & Bear, Busby Marou, Tijuana Carteland Timberwolf.

‘Therapy’ will be released worldwide via Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and all other good digital retailers on Friday April 7th.
