Perth producer ShockOne is back with the next chapter from A Dark Machine and has released new single Underloved Feat. Cecil which was premiered on triple j Good Nights overnight.
Underloved, is a breakbeat driven vocal banger and follows on from ShockOne’s last two singles A Dark Machine Feat Reija Lee which has 2.5 million streams worldwide and Bleed Black Feat. Cruz Patterson.
ShockOne says of the track “It’s a drastic departure from my regular sound. However, in the context of the rest of the music on the Dark Machine project, I like to think of this song as a bit of a beacon of shining light, a moment of respite from the fairly oppressive nature of the music surrounding it. I owe a lot of that to the vocal’s Cecil brought to the song, this is the first time we’ve worked together and I hope not the last. It wasn’t until I heard her vocals over the instrumental that I realised how big it could be, her vocal performance really lifted the song up to the next level.”
Fresh from shows in Cairns, China, Singapore and Seoul, ShockOne is currently touring with a string of NZ and Aus dates for the remainder of this year, including headlining Breakfest in Perth. He will kick off 2019 supporting the Prodigy. You can catch him doing a special Aus Music Month Friday Mix on triple j Lunch with Gen Fricker today from midday!

AMNPLIFY – BA
I am an avid music fan who loves finding new artists in my downtime. My love for music stemmed from a young age and spans most genres. I have travelled across the country as well as overseas to see some of my favourite artists. I have been involved in the music industry since 2011 volunteering and working on some amazing shows and festivals and wouldn’t have it any other way!
Aside from music, I am also a sports enthusiast. If I’m not surrounded by music, you can catch me watching and cheering for my favourite teams, most importantly, the Dees. I also love coffee, bad jokes and travelling.
