With a fire in her soul and a guitar at her side, Siobhan Cotchin is today taking her next step forward as a singer, songwriter & human, with the release of her EP ‘Miss Reckless’. Channeling grunge & indie-rock energy from the 1990s all the way to today, she has created a body of work that is as exploratory as it is cohesive. Taking previously acclaimed singles ‘How Does It Feel’, ‘When The Curtains Close’ & the most recent ‘If God Is A Man’, Cotchin combines powerful lyrical symbolism, with vulnerable & compelling tales of loss, anger, heartbreak & betrayal.
Working collaboratively for only the first time, Siobhan Cotchin was able to take tracks from numerous co-writing sessions including with The Money War, Joel Quatermaine (Eskimo Joe) & Paige Valentine. Combining this new-found writing freedom with the skill of producer Sam Ford (Abbe May, Birds of Tokyo, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets) at his new tailor-built Tone City Recording Studios, the easy process of recording allowed Siobhan Cotchin to unnerve her vulnerabilities, creating her most compelling work to date. A muse beyond her early-20’s age suggests, Siobhan Cotchin new tracks ‘Cross The Line’ & title-track ‘Miss Reckless’ highlight her tact for nuanced emotions within any situation, a knack for putting pen to paper and helping the listener feel her plight.

“My new EP ‘Miss Reckless’ is all about being yourself and rejecting the expectations others place on you. For me, it’s an ode to the person I want to be and the confidence I want to exude. Sonically, this EP reflects a step forward in a new direction and I’m super proud of what we’ve created. I’m really owning this ‘rock-chick’ energy and I’m having so much fun exploring those heavier sounds.” – Siobhan Cotchin
“This EP was so rewarding and fun to make, and a very easy process. It all came together really easily and it’s honestly my favorite thing the band, Sam Ford and I have created so far! This is also the first time I’m releasing songs I’ve written with other people and I cannot wait for people to hear them because the writing process was so magical with all of the incredible artists that helped write the songs. I think this EP is a step in a new direction for me and I can’t wait for people to hear the new and improved Siobhan!”

In celebration of her EP release, Siobhan Cotchin will continue troubadouring across Australia in it’s support. Firstly sharing stages with Kingwood across regional WA, where she had solidly etched a name for herself, before heading further abroad to regional SA as they continue to share stages night after night. June will then see Cotchin string together a run of headline shows across the East Coast, performing on Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane, before a triumphant hometown show at Perth’s iconic The Rosemount.
The tour is another stride forward for Cotchin, who spent 2022 establishing herself as a formidable live performer, on the radars of many. Following her triumphant wins at the WAM Awards, where she won three awards out of five nominations, Cotchin reaped more praise with her debut headline tour in WA, and multiple shows on the East Coast.
“I’m so excited to be hitting the road again and with absolute legends Kingswood! It’s a real honor to be touring with a band as incredible as Kingswood and I’m sure I’ll learn so much from them whilst on the road. I can’t wait to perform in places I’ve never been and connect with people all around Australia!”

With 5 x WAM award nominations in 2022 & BIGSOUND, Bluesfest & Laneway Festival appearances, Siobhan Cotchin also grabbed a flurry of support in the back-half of 2022, with breakout singles ‘Fill My Cup’ & ‘How Does It Feel’. Highlighted by Apple Music (‘New Music Daily’, ‘Southern Craft’, ‘Country Risers’) & Amazon Music (‘Brand New Music’, ‘Best of The Month’), tastemakers triple j Unearthed & Double J also came aboard; with Cotchin winning the Laneway Perth competition, 2023’s first Feature Artist, strong reviews from the former & a rotation addition leading to the 5th most played song on the latter.
With ‘Miss Reckless’, Cotchin continues to etch a name for herself in Australian songwriting as a troubadour covering the whole spectrum of human emotion.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
