The release comes in tandem with the world premiere of their film SIX60: Till the Lights Go Out. An activation with Air New Zealand, the film will air on a dedicated flight from Auckland to Dunedin where attendees will get the chance to rub shoulders with the band, who will also be traveling on the flight. An impressive feat, tickets for Air New Zealand’s World Premiere in the Air sold out within just 6 hours of going on sale!
Following the World Premiere in the Air, SIX60: Till the Lights Go Out will hit theatres across Australia and New Zealand on November 26th. The film tells the story of New Zealand’s biggest band, revealing their untold story of ambition and creative vulnerability. Harnessing the fighting spirit of the rugby field, the film shows how SIX60 transformed a desire to win into musical domination, previously unseen in Aotearoa. Watch the trailer for the film HERE.
Continuing to make history, the group also just crossed a huge milestone in their home country of New Zealand. Their 2015 self-titled album debuted at #1 on New Zealand’s Official Top 40 Albums Chart and hasn’t dropped off the chart since. Now at 298 consecutive weeks, it becomes the longest album ever to be on the chart, beating Pink Floyd’s DARK SIDE OF THE MOON which was released in 1973. Here in Australia, their 2019’s self-titled album reached #8 on the ARIA Album Chart.
Additionally, the band will be kicking off 2021 with the return of their live show, SIX60 Saturdays. The tour is set to be ground breaking for the multi-platinum group who sold over 130,000 tickets to their tour earlier this year. SIX60 Saturdays will take place through January and February 2021 across Waitangi, Hastings, New Plymouth, Christchurch, Wellington and Hamilton. Tickets are on sale now at www.six60.co.nz.
SIX60 remain one of the biggest New Zealand groups ever, and they also quietly stand out as a global phenomenon. The musicians notably took home ‘Best Group’ at the 2018 NZ Music Awards, among five other awards. The boys made history by becoming “the first New Zealand Act to Sell 50,000 Tickets to a Show in Western Springs Stadium.” Their 2019 self-titled album has amassed over 26 million streams to date.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
