Today, rock band Sleater-Kinney release their 10th studio album, Path Of Wellness via Milk! Records/Remote Control and share lyric video ‘Method’. The song is a scrappy plea for tenderness, a grasp at vulnerability in times that require toughness and armor. ‘Method’ follows the release of the first two singles ‘High In The Grass’ and ‘Worry With You’ which were met with great critical praise from the likes of The New York Times “The Playlist,” NPR Music’s “All Songs Considered” as well as Rolling Stone, FADER, Vulture, Stereogum and many more. ‘Worry With You’ was the first new music from the band music since 2019. The accompanying visual, which was shot in Portland, OR was directed by Alberta Poon and stars Fabi Reyna and Megan Watson. Watch/Listen HERE. Sleater-Kinney will be featured on the weekly news and entertainment program Path of Wellness with host Charles Hewett. The half-hour show features in-depth interviews, four live performances from the group’s new album, and an expert weighing in on the band’s future prospects.
Viewers will glean insight into Sleater-Kinney’s songwriting process, their time in the recording studio, and the meaning behind some of their songs. The show also tracked down Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein’s fathers for exclusive interviews.
Audiences will be able to watch the show live today, Friday 11/6 – 11:00am AEST, on Amazon Music’s Twitch Channel and in Amazon Music’s mobile app, with Brownstein and Tucker weighing in via live-stream for commentary about their experience making the show and also playing a few additional songs live. In the midst of 2020’s endless turbulence, Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker wrote and recorded the album in Portland, OR. They welcomed local musicians in the studio to bring their vision to life. For the first time, the band also took the reins and self-produced the eleven-track offering. With their new release, the band deliver a provocative, powerful, and poetic statement when alternative music and culture could use it the most.
