Sort It Out is the first EP release from young Australian singer/songwriter Nadia Phillips with band The Undecided, and it’s out now on streaming platforms. The work features five guitar-driven, grunge inspired songs that she has written.
The EP allows Nadia to continue to deliver the quality lyrics and musicality that have become a trait of this emerging artist who recently took her Lofi bedroom music out of the bedroom with the release of On Reflection in October 2020 and Your Dark Side in January this year.
Working with Castlemaine-based musicians Jaxon Bailey-Banks on drums, Jet Mules on bass and Ezra Demchy on guitar, Nadia packs authenticity and grittiness into her emotive vocals and grinding guitar lines throughout this new EP.

Burning Sun has an indelible and powerful guitar riff that drives through the angst-ridden lyrics as they navigate the complexities of relationships, The Flood is full of metaphors, rolling drums and power guitars, Helpless feels post-punk with driving, primal guitar and drums to steer you through the exploration of identity, Forgive tells a story with great hooks and lyrical sensitivitiy and Time is Wasting paints a visual landscape with scratchy guitars and a beautifully raw vocal performance.
As a CD specialty only, there’s an extended intrumental bonus track that highlights the collaborative energy of the band.
“I loved working closely with other musicians to develop my songs for release. The four of us spent many a day rehearsing in mid-2020, it was a very creative and inspiring time for me,” said Nadia.
Castlemaine local Nadia Phillips is now Melbourne-based where she keeps exploring instruments, styles and live performance opportunities.
“We were fortunate to be able to record the tracks locally in Castlemaine at a new studio called Waffle Pad with Tom and Nigel. Being in the studio was a fun and rewarding experience for sure.”
The release of Sort It Out will be followed with live shows including The Red Hill Hotel in Chewton this Saturday 20 March 2-4pm, Castlemaine Fringe Festival on 27 March, Bar Open in Fitzroy on 22 April and Last Change to Rock & Roll Bar in Melbourne on 30 April.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
