SATURDAY
10:00-11:30am Panel: The Future of Jobs in an AI World
Software is replacing humans at a faster pace than our lifestyles can adjust. While algorithms eat our jobs, how do we know what’s worth studying and whether key jobs of the future have even been invented yet? Our panel of experts including Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, Professor Uwe Aickelin, Professor Jeannie Paterson tell us what the jobs of the future will look like, whether labour rights will exist any longer and how to avoid studying for jobs of the past.

12:30-2:00pm Hypothetical: Is it Environmentally Responsible To Be Human? With Professor Peter Singer, Adam Spencer, Damon Gameau, Gareth Liddiard and more.
Amid ongoing global inaction to curb human-driven climate change – humanity faces an existential crisis. Voluntary human extinction movements are gaining mainstream traction, with proponents voluntarily ceasing to breed in efforts to allow Earth’s biosphere to recover. Philosophers, environmentalists, artists and experts come together to negotiate philosophical outlooks, influence action and maintain progress in the thick of the climate crisis we face.

2:30-4:00pm Marc Fennell Meets…
SBS The Feed’s Marc Fennell interviews three of the world’s most interesting performers live on stage.
