About STARMAPS
STARMAPS is an electronic indie act based on opposite sides of the world. Formed in 2022 by Adelaide based singer / guitarist songwriter Dan Gaskin and London based DJ / producer Rachel Ho, the duo have been working across different time zones and Whatsapp messages to create a repertoire of electronic-fueled melodic pop songs. Teaming up with Italian producer, Laps, and American producer, John DeMichele, STARMAPS have been working on an album due for release in 2024. After a well received debut single release in July with “This Is Love” and putting a live band together for several Australian live shows, STARMAPS are excited to drop their follow up single, “Somebody Say Something”, which showcases the depth in the duo’s song writing.

About “Somebody Say Something”
With layers of swirling arpeggio synths, melodic guitars, trap influenced beats and heartfelt vocals, STARMAPS second single Somebody Say Something showcases the duo’s depth in songwriting. Written amid lockdown, lyrically the song captures longing, loneliness and isolation when words can mean so much, but pale in comparison to touch. Time alone can be both a wish and a curse.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
