“DEAD DRUGS”
Out Now

Following the success of debut single ‘Brick Red Heart’, and secondary release ‘Ghost of California’, Start Your Own Cult questions the notion of self- respect and when it’s time to let go with their newest track ‘Dead Drugs’.

Recently featured on Triple J/Unearthed Radio Shows such as “Short. Fast. Loud.”, in addition to selling out live shows pre-lockdown and being added to well over 200 Spotify playlists; ‘Brick Red Heart’ and ‘Ghost of California’ clearly serve as an example of the influence Start Your Own Cult has had on both the Australian and international music scene.
‘Dead Drugs’ is a powerful Alternative Rock track infused with Electronic elements that simply reminds you how this band continues to innovate and modernise the Rock genre. Between Sarah (singer), Josh (guitarist), Alex (bassist) and Evan (drummer), alongside the reputable Gregory Stace (producer/mixing engineer); Start Your Own Cult has once again managed to provide us with a catchy Chorus, an engaging structure, and the relatable rage showcased by Sarah’s screamo abilities. This song is about losing your ability to find happiness in physical or emotional things. Cycling off the back of meaningless relationships and substance abuse, you become burdened with the reality that your lacklustre attempts to fill the void are only ever temporary.
It’s time to confront your loneliness, rather than give up control again. Especially to someone or something that is undeserving.
‘Dead Drugs’ is out today on all platforms! Stream the track on Spotify

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
