STELLA DONNELLY

returns home for the

‘Beware Of The Dogs’

national tour

“There seemed little doubt that Stella Donnelly was worth the hype, but the richly rewarding Beware of the Dogs is a stunning debut from a deadly smart talent with plenty to say in songs worthy of your undivided attention.”
– triple j

“If Thrush Metal, her previous tape release, was brazenly political enough to earn Donnelly her fair share of admirers, Beware of the Dogs, its complex and nuanced companion piece, will be the linchpin that turns them into devotees.”
– Noisey

“Beware of the Dogs is a triumph on its own terms, going from high point to high point as she maps the pains, pleasures and anxieties of her personal patch of twentysomething bohemia.”
– Rolling Stone

“Donnelly provides her listeners with songs to laugh with and rage to, driven by hooks with the power to make someone out there feel a little bit less alone.”
– Stereogum

WA-based singer-songwriter Stella Donnelly is back home and ready to launch the Beware Of The Dogs Australian headline tour.

Kicking off next week and stopping by venues in all capital cities and a number of regional towns, the tour marks Stella’s biggest lap around the country to date with sold out shows in Melbourne, Fremantle, Hobart, Brisbane and Sydney. Tour poster available HERE.

It’s been an incredible twelve months for Stella who shared Beware Of The Dogs to mass critical acclaim in early March. Featuring lead single ‘Old Man’ as well as ‘Die’ and ‘Tricks’, the release scored Feature Album on triple j, Stereogum, RTRFM, SYN, Rabbit Radio and Radio Adelaide and has also been named one of the best albums of the year by NME, Rolling Stone (U.S), NPR, Paste, Flood, Consequence of Sound, The Music and Junkee, among others. Stella earned plaudits for her NPR Tiny Desk Concert and scored rave reviews and praise from Pitchfork, NoiseyVogue, RUSSH, The Australian and The Guardian. Having made 2019 her year, she was also recently nominated for the Australian Music Prize.

Since the release, Donnelly has spent much of her time playing sold out shows in North America and Europe. She has also played a number of renowned international festivals including Fuji Rock (Japan), Glastonbury (at the personal request of Billy Bragg), Roskilde (Denmark), End Of The Road (UK), Greenman (UK), Vida (Spain), Way Out West (Norway), Paredes de Coura (Portugal) and many more. Back home, she sold out three VIVID Live shows at the Sydney Opera House and joined both Maggie Rogers and the John Butler Trio and Missy Higgins on their Australian tours.

The Beware Of The Dogs headline tour kicks off next week in Castlemaine and will wrap up late October in Newcastle. Stella will then round out the year in Japan where she will play two headline dates, both of which sold out in one day.
