Fresh from her huge national album tour, WA-based STELLA DONNELLY is excited to share a new music video for ‘Season’s Greetings’. Directed by Nick Mckk with assistance from Julia Jacklin, the video showcases an awkward Christmas lunch (you know the kind).

Speaking of the video, Stella says: “From the moment I wrote ‘Season’s Greetings’, I could visualise a video concept for it. I wanted to try and exaggerate the sometimes nuanced atmosphere of a blisteringly hot, Australian Christmas lunch. Working with Nick and Julia on this made the day so much fun because they were able to actually manifest my ideas into a reality. Getting to assign characters to my friends and dog was the most joyful experience, especially when we were all cast as fucked up versions of ourselves. Once we were in our costumes and makeup it was really easy to let the story tell itself and Nick and Julia captured this so well. No dogs were harmed in the shooting of this film!”

‘Season’s Greetings’ is taken from Stella Donnelly’s debut LP Beware Of The Dogs. The release scored feature album on triple j, Stereogum, RTRFM, SYN and Radio Adelaide and has also been named one of the best albums of the year by NME, Rolling Stone, Paste, The Music and Junkee, among others. Along with rave reviews and praise from Pitchfork, Vogue and Russh, Stella has been nominated for an ARIA Award (Breakthrough Artist), the Australian Music Prize and the J Award for triple j Australian Album of the Year. Last week, she also won three WAM Awards for Best Album, Best Pop Act and the inaugural Artist Of The Year Award.

Stella will cap off an incredible 2019 with three sold out shows in Japan before returning to Australia to play St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle in February.
