Miiesha returns today with her first piece of new music for 2022 with single ‘Still Dream’. Written performed and recorded by Miiesha, Stephen Collins and LUCIANBLOMKAMP, the track will be featured on her upcoming Mirrors EP which is set to be released on 3 June as a double EP alongside the already released Smoke EP.
Says Miiesha of the track “The song came to me in the form of a dreaming poem that I’d written for my Grandmother. I originally envisioned a bird coming as a messenger to let her know that everything would be ok.”
Miiesha is a Top 40 finalist in the 2021 Vanda & Young songwriting competition for her single ‘Made For Silence’, alongside artists including Gang of Youths and Genesis Owusu, the winner will be announced in March.
In 2021 Miiesha won Song of the Year at the National Indigenous Music Awards for her single ‘Damaged’ which features on her Smoke EP release alongside singles ‘Price I Paid’, and ‘Made for Silence’. Additionally she has just been nominated for two Queensland Music Awards, Regional/Remote Award for ‘Damaged’, and Soul/Funk/RNB for ‘Made for Silence’. She was also the Spotify Equal artist in November, culminating with a billboard in Times Square.

A strong, proud Anangu/Torres Strait Islander woman, Miiesha (Pronounced My-ee-sha) released her debut collection of songs entitled Nyaaringu in 2020. Meaning ‘what happened’ in Pitjantjatjara language, Nyaaringu showcased the stories and the strength Miiesha has inherited from her late Grandmother, whose interludes narrate the project.
The project went on to be nominated for 5 ARIAs, receiving the 2020 ARIA for Best Soul/RnB Release, as well as winning 4 x QLD Music Awards, a NIMA, and was voted Australian Album of the Year by NME, as well as Best Album of 2020 by The Music. She has also been nominated for APRA/AMCOS Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year and was selected as part of the YouTube Black Voices campaign.
Miiesha’s live show has quickly become a must-see spectacle where her incredible voice, charisma and storytelling take centre stage. Pre-COVID she has performed and been scheduled to perform at Australia’s largest festivals, including Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, Laneway, WOMAD, and Vanfest among others.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
