In February 2026, one of electronic music’s most influential figures Sub Focus will bring his visionary live experience to Australian audiences for the first time. Sub Focus presents Circular Sound – a groundbreaking audio-visual performance set to redefine what a drum & bass show can be.
More than a live show, Circular Sound is an immersive experience with production designed around a custom-built moving circular lighting rig and visuals personally curated by Sub Focus. The result is a seamless fusion of light, sound, and motion, a performance that feels as much like an installation as it does a concert.
Earlier this year Sub Focus took his immersive Circular Sound live show on tour – selling out London’s Alexandra Palace in minutes, making his long-awaited US live debut, and delivering the first-ever drum & bass headline show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Now, in 2026, Circular Sound arrives on Australian shores for four unmissable dates.
Few artists have shaped the sound and scale of modern drum & bass like Sub Focus. With over two decades at the forefront of the genre, the UK producer and DJ, real name Nick Douwma, has built a reputation for blending underground energy with cinematic production and boundary-pushing live shows.
Since his rise through the pioneering RAM Records imprint under the mentorship of Andy C, Sub Focus has evolved from a studio prodigy into one of dance music’s most forward-thinking live performers. His discography spans platinum singles, chart-topping albums, and global anthems that have carried drum & bass into the mainstream without ever losing its intensity.

On 21st November, Sub Focus releases his acclaimed fourth studio album Contact – a 14-track body of work that bridges genres and generations. Featuring collaborations with Grimes, John Summit, Katy B, Fireboy DML, and IRAH, the record merges drum & bass, electro, trance, and dancehall into a cohesive sound that is as inventive as it is emotive. Tracks like “Entwined” and “Go Back” exemplify his signature ability to combine widescreen hooks with technical precision.
Beyond his solo work, Sub Focus is also a founding member of WORSHIP – the collective he formed with friends Dimension, Culture Shock, and 1991 widely regarded as drum & bass’s first true supergroup. Together, they have become global ambassadors for a sound that continues to inspire a new generation of fans.
