With a recent resurgence of classic catalogue hits making their way back into mainstream culture, the release of ‘Pleasure Love’, the new single by Supafly & De Funk, is a perfectly timed moment. Reinventing timeless classics, ‘Pleasure Love’ samples one of the biggest disco records of all time, using elements and musical grooves from the well-known Earth Wind and Fire hit ‘September’.

Supafly on his inspiration behind ‘Pleasure Love’: “As I was tidying my studio, a 12 inch record fell off the top shelf and hit me on the head… It was ‘September’ by Earth Wind & Fire. Being how much I love that record, I decided it would be cool to try to sample it. The groove is instantly iconic, not to mention the big anthemic horn lines that set this alight everytime any crowd hears it. We obviously wanted to be respectful with how we used such an iconic sample, so our plan was to add some new production and a brand new topline hook to the idea, which is the new chorus that you hear today.”

After joining forces with Kiesza and Grammy award winner Imanbek on their single ‘Fly with the Angels’ (2021 via Defected), the British based duo Supafly & De Funk step back into the spotlight with this ready made anthem. ‘Pleasure Love’ already receives brilliant support by the likes of Milk & Sugar, Phil Fuldner, Tom Novy, D.O.D, Vanilla ACE, Don Diablo and many more.

Supafly & De Funk’s new single ‘Pleasure Love’ is out now on Tinted Records.

About Supafly & De Funk:

Supafly & De Funk were formed in London bringing together U.K based Aussie Panos Liassi aka Let it Out P and Andrew Tumi aka wOne. Blending numerous styles including feel good House, Reggae & Hip Hop tunes, the London duo stood out with hits that grew throughout the clubs, as well as making big moves across the singles charts. Their first major charting moment was ‘Let’s Get Down’, which made waves across the globe and was a massive club anthem and chart hit across several countries where it charted, including the UK, Australia, Scotland, France and BeNeLux. Their highly successful chart anthem ‘Moving Too Fast’, which samples Phil Collins ‘Another Day In Paradise’ and even got the tick of approval from Phil Collins himself, was quickly snapped up and signed to the legendary Ministry of Sound U.K label, where it still holds the title as one of the label’s biggest public voted anthems to date. The record not only hit number 19 in the U.K singles charts, but it even went on to sell 250K + units of vinyl and CD singles over the year that followed.
