Before embarking on a huge run of shows across the EU, UK, US and Mexico, Surf Curse — comprised of Nick Rattigan and Jacob Rubeck — today unveil brand new single,’ ‘Hour Of The Wolf’ from their upcoming album Heaven Surrounds You, out September 13 on Danger Collective. The new single, while tinged with melancholia also showcases Surf Curse’s usual melodic manoeuvrings resulting in a moving denouement. Following previously released singles ‘Disco’ and ‘Midnight Cowboy‘, ‘Hour Of The Wolf’ is accompanied by another video, which, directed and shot by the duo themselves, is full of gore, loneliness and loss – WATCH HERE
The band offer a cryptic clue behind the story of the song, saying “Look close. There is filth. Rotten gold. What good is blood if not to be swallowed. Whole and clean”
Produced by Jarvis Taveniere (Sunflower Bean, Woods), the new album, Heaven Surrounds You, is a coming-of-age epic, inspired by the many cult films the band cherished throughout their formative years spent in Reno, Las Vegas, and finally LA. The album – an indie pop gem full of spangled guitars and echo chamber harmonies – is lush and vulnerable, a massive step forward for the band, who have become one of Los Angeles’s most exciting new artists, already amassing over 30 million streams worldwide.
Already selling out venues across the US, Surf Curse have very quickly amassed a fervent, die-hard following and reputation as one of the best live bands playing in LA right now. My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.

I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
