2020 is already becoming an exciting year for Texas based duo, Surfaces. Just coming off of a sold-out headlining North American tour with their breakout single ‘Sunday Best’ surpassing over 75 million streams, today Surfaces announce their new album, Horizons, set for release on February 28.
Later this year, they are set to perform at Bonnaroo, Wonderstruck and Hangout Fest with additional tour announcements coming soon. Dropping just in time for the last weeks of summer, Surfaces’ album Horizons is sure to be at the top of everyone’s feel-good vacation playlists. Horizons is available for pre-order.

“This past year has been absolutely insane for us and we can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for us,” says Surfaces. “With our new album Horizons, we wanted to break away from any expectations or norms and our hope is to challenge the uniformity of a regular concept album. For this project, we took influences from multiple decades and reimagined them in order to repaint these emotions in a modern musical pallet. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

Horizons includes the previously released tracks ‘Keep It Gold’, ‘Lazy’, ‘Good Day’ and ‘Bloom’, the latter of which’s music video was animated by the same team that brought you Childish Gambino’s ‘Feels Like Summer’. Kicking off 2020 with over 150 million global streams to date, this year is looking bright for Surfaces.
In Australia, people are already flocking to the Surfaces sound, with ‘Sunday Best’ maintaining strong positioning on Spotify playlists including Hot Hits Australia, Australia Viral 50, Front Left, Hits Hit Hits, Today’s Top Hits, Swag! and Get Your Hits Together in the last week alone. The single’s music video has clocked over six million views on YouTube solidifying Surfaces’ position as a duo to watch as this year continues to roll out.
