Surprise!
We’re counting down the
Hottest 200 of the Decade
from Tuesday next week
.
.
It’s time to make some tough decisions, because you’ve officially got less than five days to vote triple j’s Hottest 100 of the Decade. You have until 12pm AEDT on Monday 9 March to have your say…
Then for the first time ever, we’re playing the Hottest 200 of the Decade first!
From Tuesday 10 March, we’ll count down the Hottest 200 songs of the decade every day at 10am and 3pm. Tune in to Mornings with Lucy Smith and Drive with Hobba and Hing to find out which songs almost made it.
Then join us for the Hottest 100 of the Decade on Saturday 14 March!
At this stage in voting, here are some spicy nuggets to whet your appetite:
You’ll hear some songs in the Hottest 200 that were at the pointy end of their respective years in the annual Hottest 100 countdowns
Plus, there’s a few surprise songs that never made their year’s list!
There are over 1.1 million votes so far. 54% of those votes are from people aged 18-24, 84% from people under 30
Nostalgia is powerful: tracks that were released earlier in the decade appear to be faring better than more recent music
That said, voting is still open! And the margins between songs making the countdown are small – it’s changing all the time with songs literally moving in and out, so don’t forget to VOTE!

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
