“SWIM’s success is one of the best grassroots stories in current Australian music.”  –  Rolling Stone Australia

Building His Own Wave in Australia’s Electronic Scene:

The hypnotic new single “Run Away” out, offers a cinematic glimpse into SWIM’s evolving world — both sonically and visually. The track arrives alongside footage from his sold-out Forum show, showcasing the immersive energy of his live performances, where lighting, movement, and sound merge into transformative, theatrical worlds.

The forthcoming sophomore album Dear Friend (out November 21) was born from the solitude of a London winter — a deeply personal, instinct-driven reflection on distance, self-reliance, and the quiet clarity that comes from starting over. It marks the next chapter for an artist who’s built his own ecosystem — one where creation, connection, and authenticity are inseparable.

SWIM’s rise has been anything but overnight. What began at underground DIY parties for a hundred people has grown into one of Australia’s most exciting independent success stories — two sold-out nights at Melbourne’s Forum, a sold-out Sydney Roundhouse, and a sold-out show at London’s iconic KOKO. His path has been powered by fans, consistency, and a fiercely independent spirit.

In an era of algorithms and shortcuts, SWIM stands apart. Entirely self-released and self-promoted, his 2024 debut album topped both the Australian Dance and Vinyl Charts — a remarkable feat achieved without a label, driven purely by audience connection and word of mouth.

Since launching his live show at Beyond The Valley in 2022, SWIM has become a fixture on Australia’s biggest stages, from Boiler Room (2023) to massive sets to end this year at Beyond The Valley and Lost Paradise. His global footprint continues to expand, with standout European festival performances at Fly Open Air and Pukkelpop – and a collaboration with DJ Heartstring that landed on Spotify’s Dance Rising playlist (1.8 M followers).

Built outside the system and powered by fans, SWIM continues to prove that independence and ambition can coexist. Each release, each show, and each world he creates is another reminder that you don’t need a blueprint when you’re making your own path.
