Australia has a new violently brutal sludge force that goes by the name of Burial Pit, and they’ve just released the first single, “Lord Of Limbs” from their upcoming debut album “Subhuman Scum”. This first taste of the forthcoming album is pure, focused aggression bleeding through insanely heavy, slow crushing riffs, powerful drums and accompanied with a vocal that feels hell-bent with the intent on ripping someone’s heads off. “Lord of Limbs” is the story of a fictional vigilante serial killer who targets perpetrators of violence against women. The character turns predators into prey, abducting, dismembering and ritualistically sculpting their limbs into murals and monuments of suffering. It’s a B-Grade horror-inspired reaction to the failures of men, governments and legal systems to hold perpetrators accountable.

While Burial Pit are reasonably new to existence, they’re an assembly of musicians who have come together from some very well respected established Sydney bands such as Yanomamo, lo! & Bad Blood. A crew of well versed and tour-ready players, they’ve been performing around Sydney for the last year or so, leaving a very definitive imprint on the local scene with their powerful, crushing and intense live shows. Having recently signed up with Blighttown Records with a new single and album on the way, this band is going to leave a considerable mark on the Australian heavy scene and no doubt the world. With the level of musicality and production these guys are pulling together; this really is a band to keep an eye on. Burial Pit’s debut album “Subhuman Scum” is due for release on May 21st via Blighttown Records with release shows booked for both Melbourne & Sydney.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
