I’ve found my friends, I’ve made amends,
Got more to do just wait and see.”

Radio/podcast interviewFresh from featuring at the annual Broken Heel Festival in Broken Hill, Cassy Judy releases her new anthemic indie pop track ‘I’ve Come So Far’ on February 5. Ever the storyteller, Cassy invites you into her personal struggles to find a home in the world and within herself.
“This song was inspired by Carlotta’s showstopping performance at the 2019 Broken Heel Festival, “I’m Still Here,” Carlotta sang triumphantly. It gave me a chance to reflect on how far I’ve come, only metres away from where I used to live and work in Broken Hill. In that moment, I realised that I’ve Come So Far!”, Cassy said.
The release had a Sydney launch in Erskineville supported by her band featuring Lindy Morrison on drums and Alison Gould on bass, with streaming tickets available for anyone unable to make it to the show in person.

SPOTIFY – YOUTUBE – APPLE and more“No stranger to weaving beautiful, poignant and sometimes humorous storytelling throughout her music (check out a few of Cassy Judy’s previous premieres with us here and here), ‘I’ve Come So Far’ is another example of the musician’s passion for direct lyricism and laying it all on the table for her listeners. Sonically, the track holds enough energy and power to blast through the speakers of a stadium – its anthemic nature makes it feel larger than life, triumphant – a statement in itself about Cassy’s tumultuous journey through ups and downs. A powerful guitar solo closes the track and drives the point home.” – Frooty Mag
“If this were taken directly from a musical about Cassy’s life this is the song that signals Cassy’s full bloom in her agency. With the soaring guitar solo in the second half, you’re spirited away to a new world where you can be your true self.” – AMNplify
Cassy Judy is a proud transgender woman, criminal lawyer, community activist and musician who has been releasing songs through her own label Queer Worm Records including the ‘Seven Ways’ EP released last year.
As a musician, Judy has been described as “a wild trans mashup of Paul Kelly meets Orville Peck”, whose creativity is not bound by genre which sees delightful mix of pop, folk, country and rock, with a healthy dose of comedy splashed across her releases and live performances.
Cassy is a fixture of the Sydney Queer performance scene and works to increase the visibility of Trans and Gender Diverse people including coordinating the 2021 & 2022 Trans Girlz Calendar and the 2019 Trans & Gender Diverse photoshoot, showcasing Trans Visibility and raising funds for ACON. Cassy has also gained national media attention protesting the exclusion of Trans Women from the Coogee Women’s Pool.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
