Proving once again that they’re “the electro-pop sound of the future” (as heralded by Purple Sneakers), Boorloo/Perth-based duo PRISCILLA are set to release another incredible sensory smash. Titled ‘Lose Control’, this next track will be out on Oct 28, and stuck on repeat ever after.
Debuting in 2018, and with 7 singles already under their belt, PRISCILLA have set the stage for The Presets, Wafia, San Cisco, Haiku Hands, ALPINE, and Woodes, and played at a multitude of festivals along the WA coastline.
Climbing to greater heights seems inevitable for PRISCILLA, and ‘Lose Control’ is set to take them there.
In ‘Lose Control’, P Gardner’s voice gracefully carries the track’s plea for surrender straight to the heart, powerfully punctuated by synth bursts that beat alongside. The pared back verses hold ample space, welcoming the glittery cascades of Luke Minness’ twinkly production and granting them attention to oscillate and catch the light. It’s easy to picture a packed dancefloor or sweaty festival crowd dancing along in a powerful moment of euphoric bliss, a vision that will soon become a reality.

‘Lose Control’ is angry at the world, but celebratory of the strength found in community and the euphoria that can be experienced when surrounded by people who affirm and understand. P states: “Feeling safe in your own environment, taking up space, or feeling at home in your own body are some things that others may take for granted because they have never had to think about it. Not all of us get to experience a secure sense of feeling comfortable and safe enough to completely let go, lose control, and be ourselves without fear of the external consequences coming from hateful and loveless places.”
PRISCILLA have already been given the nod from plenty of industry insiders, including but not limited to Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, Purple Sneakers, RAGE, Pilerats, FROOTY, RTR FM, 2RRR, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide. PRISCILLA’s track ‘Follow’ featured on Spotify’s ‘Out Now’ pride playlist, has been streamed 130K times and ‘Dance Through the Night’ earned the group their 4th consecutive year of WAM nominations, this time for (Pop) Song of the Year 2022.
The duo are looking ahead to summer when they are set to support The Veronicas during the Summer Festival at the Ice Cream Factory on December 2 and launch their single at Fremantle Arts Centre on December 11.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
