TEED (formerly Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs) returns on 5th December with Always With Me, a luminous, emotionally rich album that takes a new, stripped-back approach to songwriting and production. Out today, and following the release of uptempo dual single ‘Desire’/’The Echo,’ new track ‘My Melody’ sees Orlando Higginbottom step into a softer, more reflective space. Unfolding with a slow, dreamlike pulse, the track weaves hazy synths and gentle textures that evoke the warmth of distant memories, capturing the beauty of looking back while still moving forward. Steeped in nostalgia, it’s a delicate reminder of how music can hold memory and emotion in perfect harmony.
In the three years since his last record, When the Lights Go, Higginbottom has had time to pull back. That lyric-driven work dealt with immediate issues like pandemic isolation and newfound sobriety. Its 2012 predecessor, Trouble, was a similar snapshot of the moment, packed with big club beats and main stage energy that reflected a flourishing touring career. Always With Me zooms out for a broader reflection on life. “I’m yearning for connection at the end of the world,” Higginbottom explains. “It’s a theme that runs through the record. How do we find happiness in the chaos of our world? How do we release music in a broken, toxic industry?”
Written mostly in LA on a single synth, Always With Me is defined by restraint and messaging that hits deeper than ever before. The architecture of the tracks is roomy and uplifting with pure, breezy vocals surf on soft, subtle synths and a gentle electronic pulse. Lyrically, it delves into some of the most emotionally open songwriting of TEED’s career. The first half orbits love, longing and desire. The second half turns more inward with themes of self-awareness and emotional resilience. It is rooted in the bittersweet blur of childhood summer holidays in France – first crushes, freedom, loneliness, adolescent longing and end-of-trip blues. But rather than being nostalgic for those times, ‘Always With Me’ is about what these moments leave behind and how they echo into adulthood.
This album also marks an official switch to the TEED alias. Rather than a metamorphosis, it’s a quiet recalibration that reflects a more grounded and clear-headed approach to artistry. The original moniker was designed to protect against passing trends, but also as a kind of armour that the emerging artist could hide behind. With that now gone, Always With Me stands as Higginbottom’s most honest work to date.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
