The crew at WA11APALOOZA are very excited for this year’s lineup and the diversity on the bill.
“This year’s lineup is reflective of the essence of Wallapalooza which is all about a showcase of up and coming talent. You could say in the last couple of year’s that Wallapalooza fans are starting to breed a sense of familiarity with the lineup, and this year, in line with the number 11, which is all about transcendence and change, we feel we have reflected that with our choices. We’ve gone for quite a vast range of new and upcoming talent and the fans will be treated to some of Australia’s hardest-hitting live performers, with particular notice to acts like Circles, Captives, Humality and The Wrath who are just full force and take no prisoners,” says Walla chief, Andy Clark.
“This year’s artwork is also reflective of the ‘11’ and all about the transcendence and next level connections. We also wanted this art to be reflective of women, and to pay respects and homage to women in rock and the significant contribution that they make as artists, performers, creators and administrators on all levels within the music industry. So this year’s art is in honour of the women in rock,” continues Clark.
And it is certainly a lineup stacked with bands who know how to put on an epic live show.

Melbourne prog rockers Circles are the headliners for this year’s stacked bill, and are coming off a massive last twelve months with the release of their critically acclaimed album The Last One and being a part of the prestigious PROGFEST lineup. They are joined by the heavy, groove-laden prog metallers Humality who announced their return to stages at the start of this year. This will be the first time they are back in front of a live crowd since April 2017, so you can expect a huge welcome back for them as they hit the stage with a few Humality classics, but also some brand new tracks for the fans to froth over.
Captives, the Tasmanian/Melbourne-ite punk rockers, are always keen for a party and will make sure they bring it for their set at WA11APALOOZA. Grab them a Melbourne Bitters and go hard in their pit as they rock out The Wallaby with their anthemic tunes. And not to be outdone by party anthems, Brisbane’s favourite power-metal-core bros, A Breach Of Silence will make sure you have your heads banging as they bust out tracks from their new(ish) album Secrets plus all the fan faves that allow bassist Blair Layt to unleash his trademark ball-busting power cleans and flick his luscious locks.

Rounding out the WA11APALOOZA headlining acts are Gold Coast’s very own The Wrath who will bring their enticing brand of goth-punk and rock’n’roll to the stage. They are stalwarts of the Australian music scene and for good reason, as they put on a show full of passion and energy with some killer, punchy tracks that ensure the pit never stops rockin’. And last but not least, the smouldering vocals of Tasha D from alt-rockers Smoking Martha will be heard throughout the venue when they take the stage. The Brisbane foursome have gained a cult following over the years and with their catchy as hell debut album In Deep now out, they will have the world at their feet as their addictive sounds take over.
We really could go on about all the bands playing this year’s WA11APALOOZA but really, you’re just going to have to get to The Wallaby Hotel on September 14 to see it all for yourself, and with free entry, you’d be insane not to!
.
.
And not to be outdone, the WA11APREPALOOZA is also going to be
one hell of a party!
