This announcement follows the cosmic duo’s first two live performances of their latest masterpiece ‘We Will Always Love You’ at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday 23 April and Summer(ish) Sounds Brisbane last Friday, both shows were nothing short of breathtaking.
Warming up the Sydney stage on Wednesday 26 May is the ethereal Milan Ring, with her dynamic live show. Milan’s sound balances between the analogue and digital worlds, blending live percussion with electronic drums, whilst moving from synths to raw guitar takes. Her music has seen her boast sessions with DRAM, Cosmo’s Midnight, SZA and frequent Chance the Rapper collaborators The Social Experiment. No doubt this will be a beautiful night of shimmering sounds to kickstart the Sydney run of The Avalanches Live.

DeepFaith

DeepFaith, a group of likeminded individuals including artists Daniel Stricker and Byron Spencer will open the show on Thursday 27 May. DeepFaith is striving towards universal global enlightened collective consciousness (U.G.E.C.C.). Their latest single, Two Shadows, is a twinkling and hypnotic electronic track that explores the process of looking inward and reflecting on the past whilst thinking of the future. A limited number of extra tickets for this show have been released and are available now via secretsounds.com. Be quick! No doubt these will go fast.
The Avalanches final Sydney show will see 18-year-old Budjerah take over with his unique sound that melds elements of gospel and soul with contemporary pop and R’n’B references. The promising Northern NSW local just released his self-titled debut EP, produced by ARIA and J Award winner Matt Corby. Then it’s time for CLYPSO with her hyperactive beats, grimey basslines and tropical inspired electronica. The Sydney producer and vocalist features on The Avalanches new album, so we’re in for a treat when she plays alongside them to a sold-out crowd on Saturday 29 May.
Now, it’s time to gather your favourite people and get ready for goosebumps as you embark on a vibrant evening with one of the country’s most iconic acts and their special guests. Hop to it!
