Having teased audiences over the past couple of months of touring, The Buoys are back with their new single and music video for ‘I Want You’.
‘I Want You’ goes right to the core of what makes up The Buoys DNA – filled to the brim with euphoric riffs, head-thrashing passion, and nonstop joy. With an immense talent for creating anthems that hit equally hard in headphones as they do on stage, ‘I Want You’ is an exhilarating burst of rock power that grips from start to finish.

The Buoys on the single: “‘I Want You’ is a gritty sweaty rock song for anyone that’s been in a situationship. It’s about letting yourself jump head first into a casual romance with that person you see out all the time, who you can telepathically communicate with that it’s ‘time to get out of here’”.

‘I Want You’ follows on from a huge 2022 for The Buoys. Kicking off the year, their anthem ‘Lie To Me Again’ placed at #85 in triple j’s Hottest 100 Countdown, before they headed out on the road for headline shows in celebration of their sophomore EP, UNSOLICITED ADVICE FOR YOUR DIY DISASTER. One of the country’s most hard-working touring acts, The Buoys played their own headline show at Vivid LIVE, supported Wet Leg on their Splendour In The Grass sideshows, went on tour with Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and performed at Festival Of The Sun and Rolling Sets. Only three months into the year, The Buoys have already supported The Arctic Monkeys and Soccer Mommy , played Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras’ Fair Day and announced national tours with Eliza & The Delusionals and Ball Park Music.
Stay tuned for more to come from The Buoys in 2023.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
