Globally celebrated The Cat Empire kicked off 2025 with the release of their tenth studio album, and today, they unveil the Bird in Paradise Deluxe Edition. Featuring electrifying live versions of ‘Devil’, ‘Doing Fine’, and ‘Blood on the Stage’ captured during their sold-out three-night run at the iconic Sydney Opera House, the deluxe drop also includes the long-awaited studio version of fan-favourite ‘Candela’.

On the release of the album, “We are super excited to release the deluxe version of our ‘Bird in Paradise’ album. Many of you have heard us playing ‘Candela’ live over the last bunch of shows, and this deluxe edition will feature the studio version of that song, as well as 3 new live orchestral tracks from our Sydney Opera House performance with the incredible Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Our performances at Sydney Opera House with the incredible Sydney Symphony Orchestra were a once in a lifetime experience”.

To celebrate the release they have shared the video for single ‘Candela’ filmed on their current 33-date North America tour – “Candela has been a favourite part of the set list each night, and a lot of the footage you see in the film clip has come from our life on the road this past 7 weeks. The long stretches of road, the scenery and sightseeing, the backstage jams and parties, all of it is part of the epic musical journey we’ve been on”.

The band are set to ignite Australian stages this August-September including all ages shows in Sydney, Cairns, Hobart, and Melbourne. With sold-out shows in Fremantle, Brisbane and Melbourne, today they have added a second show in Brisbane.
