Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, AKA The Chainsmokers, dropped their highly anticipated debut full length album Memories…Do Not Open (via Sony Music Australia) in April this year after a massive 18 months releasing a string of chart-topping singles.

Starting with the seminal single ‘Roses’ (2015), the duo backed it up with the phenomenal, multi-platinum tune ‘Don’t Let Me Down‘ featuring Daya and the smash hit ‘Closer’ featuring Halsey reaching three-times platinum in New Zealand and has now gone eleven-times platinum Australia. ‘Closer’ became the longest running #1 ARIA single in 2016 and hit more than one billion views on YouTube worldwide.

Singles ‘All We Know’, ‘Paris’ and the Coldplay collaboration ‘Something Just Like This’ all followed, cementing The Chainsmokers’ place in pop as they rose to the top of global charts. ‘Something Just Like This’ recently spent seven continuous weeks at #1 on the airplay chart, and is still top ten after its February release.

The Chainsmokers recently became the third group/duo in history to have three different singles in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously (‘Something Just Like This’, ‘Paris’ and ‘Closer’), an incredibly rare feat only previously accomplished by The Beatles and the Bee Gees.

The duo won five awards at the 2017 iHeart Radio Music Awards, including: Best New Artist, Best New Pop Artist, Dance Album of the Year (Collage), Dance Artist of the Year and Dance Song of the Year (‘Closer’). These wins follow their Grammy Award win for Best Dance Recording (‘Don’t Let Me Down’) and MTV’s Woodie of the Year at last year’s SXSW.

With a massive all ages show in store for Australia and New Zealand, The Chainsmokers are bringing the party to their fans.
