THE CHAMELEONS

Announce

First-Ever Australian Tour

“There will only ever be one band like The Chameleons, because for those of us who love the Chameleons it is not just a simple fancy, it is a religion”
 – Louder Than War

“What became the archetypal post-punk sound didn’t exist at the time. Indeed its questionable that without The Chameleons it ever would have done”
– Drowned In Sound

Script Of The Bridge featured key singles “Up The Down Escalator” and “Second Skin”, with follow up releases containing gems such as “Perfume Garden” and ‘’The Fan And The Bellows”, star performer from 1985’s “What Does Anything Mean? Basically”, “Swamp Thing”, found on 1986’s Strange Times, and many more.

For close to 20 years, THE CHAMELEONS would maintain an almost unattainable standard for all those who followed in their footsteps. The group’s influence would go on to penetrate the highest levels of the music industry, with LIAM GALLAGHER famously recanting their lyrics “Is It Any Wonder?” as he accepted a Brit award. THE VERVE would also go on to name check the band as one of their main influences.
