The ultimate festival for families and friends just got bigger and better!

The Lost Lands Festival offers 3 days of music, arts and entertainment amongst the magnificent parklands at Werribee Mansion. The 2019 line-up is jam-packed with music, circus, theatre, comedy, installations & creative workshops that will excite and delight!
Five new music acts have been added to the stunning lineup. Singer-songwriter treasures Dyson Stringer Cloher, sublime troubadour William Crighton, award-winning indigenous folk artist Alice Skye, funky indie collective Approachable Members Of Your Local Community and electro tribal pop duo The Merindas. These talented additions will play alongside legendary live acts Gomez, Regurgitator, Vika & Linda Bull, Baker Boy, Sampa The Great, Shonen Knife, Holy Holy & more.
Co-founders Simon Daly & Mella Morgan said “We’re thrilled to offer a unique festival experience, where families can dance, unleash their creativity and enjoy breathtaking performances together.”
“We’re also launching an incredibly fun participatory music project that’s really inclusive. It’s going to be chaotic and wonderfully Rock and Roll!”

The Big Lost Band is a special large-scale event for the young, the old and everyone in between. Come to the festival armed with instruments, as the front lawn of Werribee Mansion is transformed into a field of rock dreams!
Artistic director Ian Pidd followed, “Imagine 20 drum kits, 20 basses, 60 guitars, 10 keyboards and a swarm of singers on mics. A chance to play in the biggest band you’ve ever seen!”
The Big Lost Band will come together for a heroic medley on Sunday Nov 3 at 3pm. Featuring Paul Kelly & Archie Roach’s folk classic “From Little Things Big Things Grow”, Spiderbait’s infectious “Calypso” and rock anthem “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC. A handful of music legends from our main stage line-up will join the band on the day!

All are warmly welcomed to join the rehearsals and band! If you’re under 16, you’ll score a two day festival pass (incl. Sat camping) after attending a pre-rehearsal and the final rehearsal. Festival families will be mentored at The Lost Lands in massive rolling workshops before the big band performance on festival weekend.
On top of all this, budding songwriters can bring their own songs to workshop at the Found Lands stage on festival weekend. The best song will be added to the big band medley performance. Write an original tune for a chance to hear it played by a field of performers!

Late Night Jazz & Salsa jams have also been announced. Stay up after hours and enjoy an evening of funky jazz hosted by Nicky Bomba and his musical cohorts, or swing your hips under the moonlight with a couple of Salsa Stars. This one is for the night cats!
Spellbinding shows by Circus Oz, Jugg Life & Katie Wright Dynamite lead the huge Arts & Wonder program. Discover wonderful and surprising acts you’ve never heard of and fun creative activities as you explore the festival too. This is truly a place where the best experiences are often the ones you stumble upon.
There’s a range of accommodation options for festival goers. The Glamping campsite has moved to the Mansion’s Gardens. Rent-A-Tent are offering pre-pitched affordable tents at the Mansion’s Homestead camp. Book in at Werribee Mansion for a touch of luxury and a spa. Of course, we encourage you to bring your own tent and camp under the stars too!
The Lost Lands is the ultimate festival for big and little folk to discover a magical world of music marvels, fun performances, installations and creative workshops. Explore a carnival of colour and sound with your family in one of Victoria’s most beautiful parklands.
