Announced only moments ago, Australia’s most loved and celebrated country-pop group, The McClymonts, have been nominated for six awards for the 2021 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards.
To celebrate this incredible achievement, The McClymonts have released today ‘Looking For Perfect’, the third single to be lifted from their #3 ARIA Charting Album Mayhem to Madness. What will surely delight their loyal fans, who have patiently been waiting for news of live shows, comes news of confirmed January tour dates.
One of the more gentler tracks off the album, ‘Looking For Perfect’ was co-written by Sam, Mollie and Brooke McClymont with Brooke delivering a raspy fragility on lead vocals and production by Andy Mak.
“We are so proud of ‘Mayhem to Madness’ and blown away by the response it has received.” Sam said. “It has been twelve months since our last tour and we are thrilled that we will get to play the new songs live In January. We can’t way to kick off 2021 together with these shows.”
As one of the leading nominees today, they received nominations for Toyota Album of the Year, Country Music Capital News Group or Duo of The Year and Contemporary Country Album of the Year for ‘Mayhem to Madness’. Plus, nominations for Apple Music Single of The Year, CMT Video of the Year and APRA AMCOS Song of the Year for their #1 hit ‘I Got This’ which was co-written by Brooke, Sam & Mollie with producer, Andy Mak.
Mayhem to Madness has achieved acclaim from a cross section of music genre publications, additions to pop playlist and commercial radio, given the trio their 18th #1 Australian Country airplay hit and a nomination for the 2020 ARIA Award for Best Country Album, with the winner announced Wednesday November 25th at The Star in Sydney.
