Today, The Music & Booze Co. reveal their jam packed multi-genre weekender, King Street Carnival has been rescheduled to a new date in March, taking over Sydney Park Amphitheatre, Camperdown Rest Memorial Park and various Inner West venues from Friday March 11 to Sunday March 13.
King Street Carnival, as an elevated version of the historic King Street Crawl, honours the vibrant and multicultural layers of the Inner West with a 3-day explosion of music headlined by Yothu Yindi, You Am I, Ngaiire, Middle Kids and some of Australia’s well-loved up-and-coming acts, alongside seeing open air parties from Heaps Gay and Inner West Reggae Disco Machine. Outside of the festival’s three-day ticketed offering, are 150 artists performing at over 30 venues, as programmed by the tastemaking party-throwing minds of I OH YOU, Bodega Collective, Evening Records to Third Eye Stimuli and Picnic.
The Music & Booze Co. says: “After several re-schedules and continued restrictions, King Street Carnival is extremely proud to be going ahead in these new dates. It’s a testament to the relentless spirit of the wider artistic community around us that the festival continues to live and thrive, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the support shown to the festival.”
Today, joining the festival’s main programming is a slew of newly added artists including recent APRA Song of the Year nominee Ngaiire, singer-songwriter from Fingal Head Bundjalung, Budjerah, rock and roll gang Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and acclaimed Melbourne act Tropical Fuck Storm. Additionally, good times producer and DJ extraordinaire Young Franco, DJ and designer from Melbourne Soju Gang, Darwin’s King Stingray and pub-rock veterans Cosmic Psychos join the bill as well as many more.
Championing local community spirit is King Street Carnival’s FABTOWN (Food & Beverage) Hub. The pop-up eatery in Sydney Park will see locally loved breweries and restaurants keeping thirsts and appetites quenched all weekend long, in spaces dedicated to the area’s favourite suburbs, like St Eaters and Thirskineville. Entry is by donation only, and open to the general public with tunes curated by UNDR CTRL, Sounds of Seduction and more over the weekend. All money raised goes directly to Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, as valuable providers of community support services in the local community. New participating drinks providers include Doom Juice as their unique flavours and drinks become available on tap. While Nigerian bistro & bar Little Lagos, authentic italian operators Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers and more join the array of cuisines and tastes accommodated for.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.

I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
