2019 saw The Pretty Visitors burst onto the scene with the release of four demos, well received with features on BBC Introducing and huge headline shows at The Wedgewood Rooms (Portsmouth), The Joiners (Southampton) and Heartbreakers (Southampton), amongst notable support slots with artists such as Circa Waves, Jaws, The Family Rain, Sisteray and Cassia.
Kicking off 2020 with a headline set at Ice Breaker Festival (Portsmouth), a live performance on BBC Radio Kent and a self curated live session filmed in a church, the year started brightly. February saw the release of the highly acclaimed, debut studio single Mystery Woman; receiving airtime on The Chris Moyles Show (Radio X), This Morning (ITV 1) and BBC Introducing.
The intentions are clear, The Pretty Visitors aren’t here to mess around.

Enter: ‘Head in the Sand’, the second single from the band. Receiving support from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music a month prior to release, “The Pretty Visitors are clever, articulate, and overall outstanding in this indie rock anthem”, providing “explicit and uncensored brilliance” (RGM). The new single has been received with open arms, propelling the new direction of the band straight into the fast lane.
“Imagine Joy Division with Mike Skinner replacing Ian Curtis. It works brilliantly.” (Halfway 2 Nowhere).
THE PRETTY VISITORS upcoming single ‘Western Skies’ is due to be released in March.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
