“I am so honoured to once again be returning to the Paris Cat. Now more than ever we should pledge our support to live music venues and our artists. In saying this, I am so proud of my Community for their constant support towards RSOM and our songwriters. It is nights like this that give an opportunity for emerging artists like Georgia, Thorne, Michael and Paige to realise that anything is possible.” – Jena Marino, Founder of The Real Songwriters of Melbourne.
The Real Songwriters of Melbourne was created in 2014 by performer and media professional Jena Marino. RSOM seeks to celebrate, support and develop the emerging songwriters of the Victorian music community through many facets including live performance opportunities, networking nights, artist development mentoring, editorial and media services.
For every ticket sold, punters will automatically enter our door prize raffle with prizes kindly donated by local Melbourne businesses.

Georgia Bancroft – “Melbourne based singer/songwriter Georgia Bancroft is an Alt RnB artist who’s silky vocals are bound to captivate. After her successful debut, Georgia collaborated with artist Thorne to release ‘Just Friends,’ with Beat Magazine describing the track as ‘a stellar new indie-dance anthem.’ Georgia’s smooth and sensual vocals have been likened to artists Ariana Grande and Madison Beer.”
.
Thorne – “Born in Barbados and raised in Guyana, South America, Thorne is influenced by artists like, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Jill Scott. Expect to be up on your feet dancing with dirty bass lines, catchy hooks and thoughtful lyrics.”
.
Michael Butera – “Since the age of 11, Melbourne based singer/songwriter Michael Butera has written and recorded over 300 original works and is no stranger to the open stage. Within the last ten years Michael has been based in North America and has worked with record labels out of Montreal, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles while working with Artists and producers from around the world.”
.
Paige Black – “Hailing from the Yarra Valley, Paige Black brings heart wrenching honesty and soul infused pop to audiences through unmistakable presence and vocal passion. Paige recently won the prestigious Darebin Songwriters Award, with her latest single ‘Oceans Apart’ drawing praise from industry staples Emma Donovan, Jess Ribeiro and Charles Jenkins.”

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
