ABC’s live music TV show The Set is back on your tellies this week! Co-hosted by triple j’s Linda Marigliano and Logie Award winner Dylan Alcott, the first episode of season two kicks off on Wednesday 28 August at 9.55pm and features your mates Amy Shark, Thelma Plum and The Teskey Brothers.
Today, we’re pumped to announce that a stack more artists will be appearing during season two, including Polish Club, Jessica Mauboy, Kasey Chambers, Alex The Astronaut, Northeast Party House, Kira Puru, Press Club, and Didirri.
Across the second series, a total of 21 artists will drop by The Set and each perform to a live audience of 250 people. But unlike other live music experiences, they won’t be performing on a stage or behind a barrier. The Set’s audience can get up close and personal with their favourite bands, who perform in the backyard, living room and kitchen of the show’s share house set.
This season there will be big dancefloor moments, intimate kitchen singalongs, a surprise international guest, and maybe even a food fight. It’s a house party, duh.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
