We’re thrilled to announce that Australia’s new favourite live music TV show The Set is returning to ABC next month for Season 2!
Co-hosted by triple j’s Linda Marigliano and Logie Award winner Dylan Alcott, the series kicks off on Wednesday 28 August at 10pm and will feature a line-up of international and Australian artists.
Recorded in front of a live audience of 250 fans, The Set is one big house party. Each episode features three of your fave bands who perform their original music in The Set’s purpose-built house and backyard. At the end of the night, the three acts link up for ‘The Set Piece’: a special one-off musical collaboration that feels like a big group hug.
Dylan Alcott, speaking from courtside at Wimbledon, says “I am absolutely stoked for Season 2 of The Set and can’t wait to work on the show with my great friend Linda Marigliano! Everyone associated with this show is passionate about live music and entertainment on Australian television and wants to provide a platform to promote the very best current and emerging music talent.”
Also pumped for the return of The Set, Linda Marigliano says, “Dylan and I couldn’t believe it when our TV parents said we could throw another house party, and not only that, we’re throwing a bunch! This show is a dream to work on, the mixture of charisma and chaos between artists and audience is pure gold. We cannot wait.”
The Set’s first season aired in November 2018 during ABC’s Ausmusic Month and featured performances from artists like The Presets, Vera Blue, Baker Boy, Wafia, Ball Park Music and more. Now, The Set Season 2 carries on ABC’s live music tradition started by programs like Countdown and Recovery, but for a new generation of Australian music lovers. Stay tuned for this year’s line-up, info coming soon!
Tune into The Set on ABC from 10pm Wednesday 28 August to September 18. Then from 9.30pm every Wednesday until 9 October. You can watch it on the tele on ABC and re-watch it later on iview.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
