Alt folk singer-songwriter Jimmy Dowling brings his raw but skilled musicianship to The Shed. Presenting emotive, visceral tunes about every day, every person, that showcase why he has been widely labelled as the ‘poet to the people’. Described by legendary Jeff Lang as having “a lot of stories to tell, and he tells them his way – with strong words and a steady hand.”
As the weather gets warmer, it’s time to set up your deck chairs, crack a cold one and tune in to The Shed, for Episode 6!

Paying homage to the old school, when artists used to go to the merch desk to meet fans after each show, Tex will be heading to the virtual merch desk (Facebook) to meet fans and answer all your questions. The link will be posted on Tex Perkins official Facebook Page, right before The Show kicks off. And Tex will meet you there when The Show finishes. Pop your questions in the comments section.
The SHOW is a series of filmed musical performances with a bar, casual verbal intercourse, lights, cameras and not one but two smoke machines! Filmed in the warm rustic shed on the Perkin’s family property in Northern NSW, The Show is an intimate, rowdy evening of music with a new special guest each week, sometimes a familiar face, others a discovery.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
