Perth country-rock band The Southern Dukes are making their grand debut today, with a crash and a bang through their shiny new single ‘Free Man’.
Despite this single being their official debut, The Southern Dukes have been around since 2023 under the name The Eagleton Brothers, winning WA Country Group of the Year under this title.
Since their rebrand, they’ve become known for their edgy, alt take on country music and electrifying performances full of twangy guitar and energetic hard-driving train grooves, carving a groove in the Perth music scene and capturing the attention of fans across the region.

Produced by the band’s guitarist, Justin Gimm, to showcase their signature sound, ‘Free Man’ is the perfect foundation to build their catalogue up on in their upcoming releases. The song blends the storytelling power of classic country ballads with the driving rhythm and punches of rock.
With Justin Gimm weaving high-intensity melodies on lead guitar and organ, Brandon Poletti’s honest vocals, the frantic drumming of Miles Gilbert, and Riley Burrows’s subtle, building basslines, this song showcases the immense skill of each band member and etches a rich narrative.
With toe-tapping drums and guitar hooks that catch into the brain, ‘Free Man’ is more than a song; it’s a story with an infectious energy. The country-rasp vocals and the danceable tune tell the thrilling tale of a prison break, an escape from Alcatraz, capturing the thrill, tension, and determination through playing in the minor key and keeping the beat quick to capture the rushed thrill of breaking free.
Get swept away in this tale of prison break told by The Southern Dukes in their newest single ‘Free Man’, out now.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
