Bringing together some of the most unique international headliners Australia has ever seen, Summer Camp Festival grows even bigger with world-class new talent – UK pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor, fierce French DJ Kiddy Smile, party queen DJ Jodie Harsh, and French music producer and singer Coucou Chloé added to the monumental line up. The third release tickets go on sale 11am Thursday, August 4 for Eora and Naarm.
The biggest multi-city ticketed LGBTQIA+ event in the southern hemisphere will bring a celebration of freedom and diversity to Sydney’s Centennial Park on Saturday November 5th, with Melbourne upscaling to the new iconic and established festival venue, the Velodrome on Saturday November 12th due to popular demand.
Selling more than two million copies of her debut album, Sophie Ellis-Bextor is no stranger to the stage. Following her chart-topping track ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’, Ellis-Bextor teamed up with Italian DJ Spiller adding vocals to his track ‘Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love) which entered the UK charts at #1. Over the years the English songstress has become the club favourite for a generation, collaborating with the biggest DJs including Bob Sinclair, The Freemasons and Armin Van Burin. Performing weekly during lockdown Ellis-Bextor created “Kitchen Disco” which reached 40 million viewers, she’s now itching to break out of her home and onto the Summer Camp stage.

Famous for her trademark blonde beehive and thumping sets at clubs and festivals, the iconic London DJ Jodie Harsh, will host a takeover of the dance tent at Summer Camp this November. Her beats can be heard in remixes with A-listers such as Beyoncé, Fergie, Cher and Justin Timberlake, making them the perfect soundtrack for the Summer Camp dancefloor.

The extravagant French DJ and most recently Drag Race France judge, DJ Kiddy Smile – aka the ‘French Prince of Voguing’ – will be an unmissable experience as he takes to the stage for the first time in Australia. A face of the Vogueing and Ballroom scene, Kiddy Smile’s live performances are in a league of their own. Developing the sound identity for Balmain, Smile has also collaborated with Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Versace and more.
Known for dark glamour and twisted romance, high fashion and emotional voyeurism, London-based French music producer and singer Coucou Chloé will bring her high energy to the Sydney and Melbourne stages. A founding member of the influential NUXXE collective alongside Sega Bodega and Shygirl, her music demands to be played loud.

The eclectic mix join further world class talent who have been making waves of late. Following the release of his third studio album, Summer Camp Headliners Years & Years left Glastonbury in a daze after his stellar mainstage performance last month. New Orleans bounce music CEO Big Freedia, is having a huge moment following being sampled by the queen herself Beyoncé on her comeback single ‘Break My Soul’ which is currently the lead single of the #1 album all over the world.
Adding to their monstrous first edition of touring artists are global pop powerhouse Cub Sport, much loved duo The Veronicas, ARIA award-winning luminary and New Zealand native Ladyhawke, festival staple Kinder and up and coming New Zealand rapper JessB. They’ll be joined by over 150 DJ’s, drag queens, dancers and performance artists in each city including genre-bending New Zealand DJ Half Queen and more.
To top off the biggest LGBTQIA+ party, each state will host official after-parties to continue the music, love and hype. In Sydney, Summer Camp will take over the newly launch Liberty Hall in Entertainment Quarter, and The Industrique Warehouse in Melbourne. Tickets will only be available to Summer Camp attendees and will go on sale in September.

As part of the third release, Summer Camp have included the option of a $2.95 donation add on that pays rent to the traditional land owners in each city. In Eora, 100% of the $2.95 donation will go to the Gujaga Foundation to support the growth of the Dharawal Language Early Learning program. In both states, Summer Camp will be consulting with land councils to create a fund that goes towards supporting and amplifying the voices of First Nations communities.
Summer Camp Festival will be unparalleled for inclusivity and supporting young diverse artists by providing a platform for often-overlooked, though incredibly talented artists to perform. Celebrating up- and-coming musicians and in conjunction with media partner triple j, a triple j unearthed promotion will launch later this month in August to uncover an exciting emerging artist who will play Summer Camp in Sydney & Melbourne.
Extending the partnership, Summer Camp is proud to announce the festival is an event destination for Meta’s brand-new Reels Squad, delivering a VIP experience for some of Australia’s best creators, who are pushing the boundaries of expression and creativity on Reels. The ‘summer camp’ for adults will be a playground of music and art culture that suspends reality and transcends the boundaries of imagination. Highlighting the rich tapestry of incredible Aussie artists nationally, Summer Camp Festival aims to enhance the creative landscape, offering an immersive experience for all.
Within the festival bounds and across two stages, attendees will indulge in music, dance, performance art, culture, art installations, and delicious offerings of food and beverage. Campers will also be treated to a hot and heavy dance tent featuring over 20 DJs.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
