Paul Dainty AM, President and CEO of TEG DAINTY is thrilled to announce that the jaw dropping, heart stopping, ARENA ROCK MUSICAL, Jim Steinman’s Bat Out Of Hell will tour Australia in June 2020!
The AWARD-WINNING stage musical has been transformed into an arena rock musical and will feature iconic songs from the Bat Out Of Hell albums, including “You Took The Words Right Out of My Mouth,” “Bat Out Of Hell,” “I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That),” and “Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad”. These electrifying rock songs propel an epic story of rebellious youth and passion as Strat, the immortal leader of The Lost, has fallen in love with Raven, the beautiful daughter of the tyrannical ruler Falco.
This smash hit rock musical experience based on one of the best-selling albums of all time will commence in Sydney at Qudos Bank Arena on Thursday 4 June followed by arena dates in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

The three Bat Out Of Hell albums have sold a staggering 100 million copies globally. The first album, released in 1977, is one of the best-selling albums of all time internationally and in Australia is the highest selling album of all time selling 1.8m copies. In 2003, the album was named one of “Greatest Albums of All Time” by Rolling Stone.
Jim Steinman’s Bat Out Of Hell premiered in 2017 at the Manchester Opera House and then played a wildly successful engagement at London’s Coliseum, winning the Evening Standard Award for Best Musical, before rocking Canadian audiences with a critically acclaimed run at Toronto’s Mirvish Theatre. Earlier this year the show played a six-week engagement at the New York City Center garnering stunning reviews.
Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical is produced by Michael Cohl, Tony Smith, David Sonenberg, features book, music, and lyrics by Mr. Steinman, direction by Mr. Scheib, choreography by Emma Portner, with musical supervision and additional arrangements by Michael Reed, set design by Jon Bausor, costume design by Mr. Bausor & Meentje Nielson, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, video design by Finn Ross, sound design by Gareth Owen and orchestration by Steve Sidwell.

MICHAEL COHL (Producer) Is a producer and promoter for a broad range of entertainment properties and more than 150 of the worlds most recognized and artists. Former chairman of Live Nation, Cohl is currently founder & chairman of S2BN entertainment, specializing in touring exhibitions, live music tours and family entertainment. Current S2BN projects include Bat Out of Hell: The Musical, Their Mortal Remains: The Pink Floyd Exhibition, Barbra Streisand, Phil Collins and Nick Mason tours. Past projects include David Gilmour, An Evening with Oprah Winfrey, An Evening with Al Pacino, and Jurassic World: The Exhibition.
TONY SMITH (Producer) is best known for managing Genesis and its members throughout their subsequent solo careers, in addition to co-managing Nick Mason of Pink Floyd fame. In addition, Smith expanded into film production, and has overseen the production of Children of Men (2006 Academy Award Nomination), Black Oasis (2005) and Eye of the Beholder (2000). He has also co-produced Rock of Ages Broadway, Bat out of Hell in the UK as well as many other productions.
DAVID SONENBERG (Producer) After graduating from Harvard Law School, Sonenberg joined the entertainment law firm of Weissberger & Frosch where he represented Broadway and Off-Broadway musical productions, including Hair, Godspell and C abaret. In 1976, Sonenberg established his own law firm and began DAS Communications, a full service management company who’s clients have included Meat Loaf, Jim Steinman, Jimmy Iovine, The Fugees, The Black Eyed Peas, the Spin Drs, John Legend, Jimmy Cliff, Lauryn Hill, Will.i.am and Fergie. DAS’s first management project, Bat Out Of Hell, set an industry record for a debut album with worldwide record sales to date of more than 40 million.1997 saw the coming to fruition of Sonenberg’s first film project, the highly acclaimed documentary When We Were Kings, starring Muhammed Ali, for which Sonenberg received an Academy Award.
