Hailing from the South Coast of New South Wales, beloved Australian rock outfit The VANNS return today with their powerful new single, ‘Up All Night’, their first new music since 2023’s acclaimed sophomore album Last Of Your Kind. Teaming up once again with producer Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy), the track marks an emotional and anthemic new chapter for the band.
Built on sweeping guitar lines, driving rhythms, and soul-baring lyrics, ‘Up All Night’ captures the feeling of pushing through life’s everyday battles while holding tight to the moments that make it all worthwhile. Reflective and cathartic, it sees The VANNS tap into a raw vulnerability, pairing their trademark stadium-sized sound with a more intimate, searching spirit.
The band shares: ‘Up All Night’ is about feeling overwhelmed by the more sad, mundane, and monotonous aspects of life and trudging through them whilst holding onto the moments that make life great and, for lack of a better term, ‘worth it’. Trying to find the answers to life’s biggest, most salient questions and not being able to find them in the places where it seems others do.”

‘Up All Night’ follows a huge twelve months for The VANNS, who recently wrapped up their first ever US shows, playing at the legendary SXSW festival in Austin. Back home, they’ve continued to prove themselves as one of Australia’s premier live acts, selling out headline shows across the country, and previously sharing stages with international heavyweights including The Kooks, The Wombats, and Inhaler.
Since forming in 2015, The VANNS have carved out a reputation for honest songwriting, electrifying performances, and a no-frills, all-heart approach to rock & roll. Their 2019 debut album Through The Walls marked a major arrival, featuring storytelling and musicianship that earned them a triple j Feature Album and established them as ones to watch. Their second album Last Of Your Kind continued that momentum, debuting at #8 on the Australian charts and further cementing their place at the forefront of modern Australian rock.
Along the way, The VANNS have picked up accolades including two triple j Feature Album spots, a place at #32 in triple j’s Hottest 100 of Like A Version with their cover of Bon Iver’s ‘Hey, Ma’, and finishing as #17 Most Played Artist on triple j in 2023. They’ve also been heavily supported by Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music across key editorial playlists such as Local Noise (cover image), Rock Out, The New Rock, New Music Friday, and more.
Confident, honest, and packed with heart, ‘Up All Night’ sees The VANNS step boldly into their next era with no signs of slowing down.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
