“It’s wonderful to see a band who have come so far down the road, with so much more left in the tank.” – The West Australian
“This band are immensely talented, with the flawless harmonies between their sweet and gutturally emotional voices at times absolutely breathtaking. The vocal stylings of the pair are truly hard to match.” – Beat
As The Waifs hit the halfway point of their mostly sold-out fifty-date Australian tour, they are thrilled to announce new shows for Geelong fans on, Friday 10th of November at Costa Hall, Geelong Performing Arts Centre, with special guests Melbourne folk trio, The Maes, and Fremantle Arts Centre with Sydney troubadour Josh Pyke on Saturday 20th January.
These new shows expand the band’s ‘Up All Night’ 20th Anniversary Tour, which sees the band play their iconic album in full, with a sprinkling of fan favourites added to the set.
From their inception in 1992 to 2002, The Waifs traversed Australia playing every small town with a local paper, a local radio station, a pub or hall that would host live music, and someone willing to listen, of which there were many! Constant touring laid a broad foundation, musical chemistry, and an approachable relatability through their lyrics solidified a lifelong, dedicated fan base.
The Waifs continue to forge a proudly independent path 30 years on and show no sign of slowing down. They look forward to seeing you all out on the road to welcome you back or invite you into Waif World!

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
