The Wombats have released an extended version of their Aus Top 5 and UK Top 3 album, Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, featuring three extra bonus tracks – latest single ‘Bee-Sting’, an acoustic version of one of the album’s standout songs ‘Lethal Combination’, and brand new track ‘Oceans’. ‘Bee-Sting’ will also be released on the same day as a limited edition 7”, with ‘Oceans’ on the B-Side.
Since its release, new crowd pleaser ‘Bee-Sting’ has now accumulated more than two million global streams, as well as the video smashing 250,000 views on YouTube. It featured on 29 Spotify ‘New Music Friday’ playlists across the globe, as well as 30+ Apple Music playlists – a record for the band.

. . . . . . . . .Peaking at #5 on the ARIA Album Chart and #2 on the Australian iTunes Album Chart, Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life has since been streamed over 90 million times, with over 15 million streams in Australia alone.
The band’s previous single ‘Turn’ peaked at #5 on the Australian iTunes Alternative Chart and has amassed over 3.3 million local streams. While ‘Lemon To A Knife Fight’ and ‘Cheetah Tongue’ also fared well; with ‘Lemon…’ amassing over 4.4 million local streams and ‘Cheetah Tongue’ amassing over 2.8 million local streams.
After a sold-out UK and European tour, The Wombats have gone on to lay waste to crowds across the globe, with performances at Reading & Leeds Festival, Isle Of Wight Festival, Y Not?, Glasgow Summer Series (supporting Kings Of Leon) and extensive North American dates in support of Weezer and The Pixies. The band will soon step things up on the live front yet again, with their highest profile and biggest UK headline tour to date – further cementing the band’s status as one of the UK’s biggest guitar acts.
Most excitingly, the band will embark on another run of Australian shows in November, following on from their sold-out Australian tour in July, which included a performance at Splendour in the Grass. With no signs of slowing down, 2018 has been a phenomenal, ground-breaking year for The Wombats.
