Thelma Plum is back with her new single Better In Blak, the latest from her forthcoming debut album, out later this year. Steam and download the track HERE.
As with previous singles Clumsy Love (which came in at #79 in this year’s Hottest 100 countdown) and most recently Not Angry Anymore, Better In Blak is straight from the heart; an unflinching snapshot of life for the Gamilaraay musician, co-written and produced once again by Alexander Burnett (Sparkadia, Anthony & Cleopatra).
On the single, Thelma noted “I wrote ‘Better in Blak’ about my experiences with people trying to take the colour from the conversation. My colour is an important part of who I am, and over the last couple of years I’ve had people try and tell me “it’s not about colour” when obviously to me it is.”
Since the release of her debut EP Monsters, Thelma has created her own space in the world of Indie-Pop, from her voice gracing tunes with Golden Features and A.B.Original, to playing at Laneway in Melbourne and WOMADelaide in March. Thelma is now set to tour nationally on the Groovin’ the Moo Festival bill, kicking off today in Wayville, South Australia, before hitting the stage at Splendour In The Grass later this year.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
