Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Lil Nas X ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ – American rapper Lil Nas X scores his second ARIA Singles Chart #1 as he hits the top spot with ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’. Now in its fourth week in the Top 50, the track previously spent one week at #1 in the US and has notched up three straight weeks at #1 in the UK. Lil Nas X spent 13 weeks at #1 with ‘Old Town Road’ (#1 Apr. ’19).

#6: Olivia Rodrigo ‘Déjà Vu’ – Climbing up five spots to #6, Olivia Rodrigo claims her second Singles Chart Top Ten with ‘Déjà Vu’. The follow-up single to ‘Drivers License’ (#1 Jan. ’21) has also made the Top Ten in the US, New Zealand and Canada.

#8: Doja Cat Feat. SZA ‘Kiss Me More’ – After entering the chart at #10 last week, Doja Cat’s ‘Kiss Me More’ scores a new peak at #8 in its second week. The track has also become a Top Ten hit in the last week in the UK, US and Canada.

#30: Joel Corry, RAYE & David Guetta ‘Bed’ – A week on from debuting at #48, British DJ/producer Joel Corry climbs to #30 with ‘Bed’. The track sees Corry team up with French DJ/producer David Guetta and English singer-songwriter Raye. Corry’s previous single ‘Head & Heart’ (#2 Oct ’20) sits at #24 this week, its 38th week in the Top 50.

Albums Chartifacts:

#1: London Grammar ‘Californian Soil’ – London Grammar score their first #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Californian Soil. The English trio’s third album is their first in four years, coming as the follow-up to Truth Is A Beautiful Thing (#3 Jun. ’17). It takes over from debut If You Wait (#2 Sept. ’13) as their highest peak. London Grammar recently announced an Australian tour for February 2022.

#2: The Offspring ‘Let The Bad Times Roll’ – Punk veterans The Offspring release their first album in nine years, Let The Bad Times Roll. The band’s tenth studio album becomes their eighth Top Ten in Australia and their first to top the ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart. The follow-up to Days Go By (#7 Jul. ’12) was originally meant to be released in 2020 but was pushed back due to COVID-19. The Offspring have topped the ARIA Albums Chart with Smash (#1 Feb. ’95) and Americana (#1 Jan ’99).

#6: Alex Henry Foster ‘Standing Under Bright Lights’ – Canadian singer-songwriter Alex Henry Foster makes his ARIA Charts debut with the live album Standing Under Bright Lights. The set includes Foster and his band’s performance at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal on July 5, 2019. It includes performances of every song from his 2019 debut album Windows in the Sky. In 2020, Foster released four EPs.

#12: AJ Tracey ‘Flu Game’ – Releasing second album Flu Game, British rapper AJ Tracey makes his ARIA Albums Chart debut. Coming two years on from Tracey’s self-titled debut the album includes collaborations with T-Pain, Kehlani and Mabel.
