Singles Chartifacts: 

#1: Justin Bieber Feat. Daniel Caesar & Giveon ‘Peaches’ – ‘Peaches’ by Justin Bieber hits #1 on this week’s ARIA Singles Chart. Coming from the Canadian’s #1 album Justice, it’s his fourth chart-topping single as lead artist after ‘What Do You Mean?’ (#1 Sept. ’15), ‘Love Yourself’ (#1 Dec. ’15) and ‘I Don’t Care’ with Ed Sheeran (#1 May ’19). ‘Peaches’ hits the top spot in its third week in the chart.

#3: Lil Nas X ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’ – Jumping up 13 spots, Lil Nas X hits #3 with ‘Montero (Call Me By Your Name)’. It becomes the American rapper’s second Top Ten hit after ‘Old Town Road’ (#1 Jul. ’19). Last week, the single hit #1 in the US and UK; his second chart-topper in both territories.

#4: Masked Wolf ‘Astronaut In The Ocean’ – In its eighth week in the ARIA Top 50, Masked Wolf’s ‘Astronaut In The Ocean’ moves up one spot to hit a new peak at #4. This week it hits #1 on the ARIA Australian Artist Singles Chart for the first time, having spent the last four weeks at #2.

#13: Olivia Rodrigo ‘Déjà Vu’ – American artist Olivia Rodrigo follows chart-topper ‘Drivers License’ (#1 Jan. ’21) with ‘Déjà Vu’. Both singles will feature on Rodrigo’s debut album, *O*R, which was recently announced to be released on 21 May. ‘Drivers License’ spent six straight weeks at #1 and sits at #8 this week.

#39: Sam Fischer & Demi Lovato ‘What Other People Say’ – After debuting at #44 last week, Sam Fischer and Demi Lovato’s duet ‘What Other People Say’ jumps up five spots to hit #39. The track features on Lovato’s album Dancing With The Devil…The Art Of Starting Over, which has debuted at #8.

#1: Justin Bieber ‘Justice’ – Justin Bieber returns to take out a second week at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Justice. Bieber’s fourth chart-topping album debuted at #1 two weeks ago before dropping back to #2 last week. With ‘Peaches’ at #1 on the SIngles Chart, this is the first time Bieber has topped both charts in the same week. Taylor Swift was the last artist to have #1s in the same week on both the Albums and Singles Charts; she had the #1 single with ‘Willow’ and the #1 album with evermore in December 2020. Justice equals My Worlds (#1 May ’10) as Bieber’s career best for most weeks at #1 on the Albums Chart.

#8: Demi Lovato ‘Dancing With The Devil…The Art Of Starting Over’ – Releasing her seventh studio album, Dancing With The Devil…The Art Of Starting Over, Demi Lovato scores her third ARIA Albums Chart Top Ten entry. The album includes the collaboration with ARIA Award-nominated Sam Fischer, ‘What Other People Say’ (#44 Apr. ’21), as well as contributions from Ariana Grande, Saweetie, and Noah Cyrus. Lovato previously hit the Top Ten with Tell Me You Love Me (#8 Oct. ’20) and Confident (#3 Oct. ’15).

#9: Lil Tjay ‘Destined 2 Win’ – American hip hop artist Lil Tjay makes his ARIA Albums Chart debut with Destined 2 Win. His second album includes the hit single ‘Calling My Phone’ (#3 Feb. ’21) along with collaborations with Offset, Tyga, Saweetie, Polo G and more.
