Singles Chartifacts:
#1: Olivia Rodrigo ‘Drivers License’ – It’s week three at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for ‘Drivers License’ by American singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. The single this week continues its dominance at the top of charts around the world including the US and UK.
#2: Glass Animals ‘Heat Waves’ – After taking out the #1 spot on the Triple J Hottest 100, ‘Heat Waves’ by Glass Animals jumps from #11 to #2 on this week’s chart. It’s a new peak for the British band who also had two other tracks in the annual countdown, which aired on 23 January. Glass Animals’ third album Dreamland returns to the ARIA Top 50 this week at #22.
#6: Tones And I ‘Fly Away’ – Tones And I’s ‘Fly Away’ scores a new peak as it moves up two spots to #6. The track placed at #58 in the Hottest 100. It’s the single’s fourth week in the Top Ten.
#8: Spacey Jane ‘Booster Seat’ – Perth band Spacey Jane scores their first entry in the Top 50 of the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘Booster Seat’. Coming from the band’s debut album Sunlight (#2 Jun. ’20), the track placed #2 in Triple J’s Hottest 100. Spacey Jane had three other tracks in the Hottest 100. Sunlighthas jumped up 30 spots to sit at #14 on this week’s Albums Chart.
#18: Cardi B Feat. Megan Thee Stallion ‘WAP’ – Placing at #6 in the Hottest 100, Cardi B’s ‘WAP’ jumps back up the chart 13 spots to #18. The track spent six weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart in August/September 2020.
#39: Mashd N Kutcher Feat. Dan Andrews ‘Get On The Beers’ – Melbourne duo Mashd N Kutcher return to the Top 50 for the first time in five years with ‘Get On The Beers’. The track, which features samples of dialogue by Victorian Premier Dan Andrews, placed at #12 in the Hottest 100. It’s the third Mashd N Kutcher single to chart after ‘Do It Now’ (#33 Feb. ’15) and ‘My Sunshine’ (#18 Jan. ’16).

Albums Chartifacts:
#1: Bluey ‘Bluey The Album’ – Bluey The Album, the soundtrack to Australian animated series Bluey debuts at #1 on this week’s ARIA Albums Chart. The release features 17 original compositions from Season 1 of the Emmy-winning ABC Kids show, including an extended version of its beloved theme tune. Joff Bush, Bluey’s music composer, has twice been nominated for APRA Screen Music Awards for episodes from the show. Bluey The Album becomes the first Australian children’s album to top the ARIA Albums Chart.
Bluey The Album is the second Australian #1 album on the ARIA Charts in 2021.
#3: Bring Me The Horizon ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’ – On the back of its physical release, Post Human: Survival Horror by British rock band Bring Me The Horizon re-enters the Top 50 for a fourth week. Released in November 2020, the EP originally peaked at #7. This week also saw two tracks from Post Human: Survival Horror make it into the Triple J Hottest 100.
#8: Lime Cordiale ’14 Steps To A Better You’ – Sydney band Lime Cordiale climb up 28 spots to #8 with their former #1 14 Steps To A Better You. It comes after five songs from the album featured in the Hottest 100. The band won Best Breakthrough Artist at the 2020 ARIA Awards.
#12: Bicep ‘Isles’ – Electronic duo Bicep score their debut ARIA Top 50 appearance with Isles. The second studio album from the Belfast-formed, London-based pair is the follow-up to their self-titled debut from September 2017.
#19: Chris Wilson ‘Live At The Continental’ – Late Melbourne blues legend Chris Wilson makes his first solo appearance in the ARIA Top 50 with Live At The Continental. Recorded on 20 May 1994 at the Continental Hotel in Prahran, Melbourne, the album was first released in September of that year. The album’s entry onto the chart now comes on the back of its issue on vinyl for the first time. Wilson, who passed away in January 2019, was inducted into the Music Victoria Awards’ Hall of Fame in 2020. Wilson’s only other Top 50 entry was with the collaboration with Diesel, Short Cool Ones (#18 Apr. ’96). Live At The Continental tops this week’s ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart.
