Singles Highlights: 

#1: Russ Millions & Tion Wayne ‘Body’ – ‘Body’ by Russ Millions and Tion Wayne hits #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart. Climbing from #3 to #1 in its sixth week in the Top 50, it becomes the first British hip hop single to top the charts in Australia.

#20: J. Cole ‘i n t e r l u d e’ – Ahead of the release of his sixth album, The Off-Season, American rapper J. Cole hits the Singles Chart at #20 with ‘i n t e r l u d e’. It becomes his first appearance in the Top 50 since ‘Middle Child’ (#15 Feb. ’19). The Off-Season is the follow-up to KOD (#1 Apr. ’18) and is likely to make an impact on next week’s Albums Chart.

#25: P!nk ‘All I Know So Far’ – P!nk scores her second chart entry for 2021 as she releases ‘All I Know So Far’. It’s the title track to the American star’s upcoming album All I Know So Far: Setlist, set for release on 21 May. The album will serve as the soundtrack to the live concert/documentary film of the same name. Earlier in 2021, P!nk hit the chart with ‘Cover Me In Sunshine’ (#6 Mar. ’21), a collaboration with her daughter Willow Sage Hart. In its 13th week in the chart, ‘Cover Me In Sunshine’ sits at #13.

#31: Trippie Redd Feat. Playboi Carti ‘Miss The Rage’ – American rapper Trippie Redd claims his first Singles Chart Top 50 entry as he debuts at #31 with ‘Miss The Rage’. The track, which features Playboi Carti, comes from Redd’s upcoming fourth album, Trip At Knight, the follow-up to 2020’s Pegasus.

#44: Coldplay ‘Higher Power’ – Coldplay make their first Singles Chart appearance since 2017 as they release ‘Higher Power’. The band gave the track its live premiere during the Brit Awards ceremony on 11 May in London. Coldplay last charted when they collaborated with The Chainsmokers on ‘Something Just Like This’ (#2 Mar. ’17). The band last topped the Albums Chart with Everyday Life (#1 Dec. ’19).

Albums Highlights:

#1: Amy Shark ‘Cry Forever’ – Amy Shark holds the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart for a second week with Cry Forever. It gives the singer-songwriter her longest run in the top spot, having spent one week there with debut album Love Monster (#1 Jul. ’18). Cry Forever becomes the first Australian album to spend more than one week at the top of the chart since AC/DC’s PWR/UP (#1 Nov. ’20), which spent four straight weeks at #1.

#4: Rag’n’Bone Man ‘Life By Misadventure’ – Rag’n’Bone Man takes out his second Top Ten entry on the ARIA Albums Chart with Life By Misadventure. The British singer-songwriter’s second album comes more than four years on from Human (#3 Feb. ’17) and includes the duet with P!nk, ‘Anywhere Away From Here’ (#43 Apr. ’21).

#16: Maroon 5 ‘Singles Collection’ – In its 107th week in the Top 50, Maroon 5’s compilation Singles Collection claims a new peak at #16. During its run on the chart, the album has previously peaked at #17 twice. Their new album, Jordi, will be released on 11 June. The single ‘Beautiful Mistakes’ currently sits at #40.

#41: Van Morrison ‘Latest Record Project Volume 1’ – Veteran singer Van Morrison hits the chart at #41 with his eighth studio album in seven years, Latest Record Project Volume 1. Morrison’s 42nd studio album follows Three Chords And The Truth (#11 Nov. ’19) and includes the tracks ‘Stop Bitching, Do Something’, ‘They Own the Media’ and ‘Why Are You on Facebook?’.
