#1: 24kGoldn Feat. Iann Dior ‘Mood’ – 24kGoldn’s ‘Mood’ holds #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for a second straight week. To date it’s spent two weeks at #1 in the UK and has also topped the charts in New Zealand and Canada.
#8: Tate McRae ‘You Broke Me First’ – After hitting the Top Ten last week, Tate McRae’s ‘You Broke Me First’ continues its climb this week, hitting #8. Since last week’s chart, the track has jumped to #9 in the UK.
#10: Jason Derulo ‘Take You Dancing’ – Jumping up four spots to #10, Jason Derulo scores his first solo top ten entry since ‘Want To Want Me’ (#4 Apr. ’15). Derulo’s 15th Top Ten single is his second Top Ten this year after his collaboration with Jawsh 685, ‘Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)’ (#1 Jul. ’20).
#11: Pop Smoke ‘What You Know Bout Love’ – The late Pop Smoke takes out his fifth chart entry as ‘What You Know Bout Love’ debuts at #11. The track features on the American rapper’s posthumous #1 album Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon. It becomes his second-highest charting song after ‘Mood Swings’ (#5 Sept. ’20).
#13: Shawn Mendes ‘Wonder’ – Shawn Mendes debuts at #13 with the title track from his forthcoming fourth studio album. The single is the first to chart for Mendes since his collaboration with Camila Cabello, ‘Senorita’ (#1 Jul. ’19). The album Wonder is set for release on 4 December.
#14: Fleetwood Mac ‘Dreams’ – After returning to the chart last week, Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ jumps 25 spots to #14. Since becoming a viral success on TikTok in recent weeks, the original video has spawned a number of different parodies and tributes including from Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood.

Albums Chartifacts:
#1: Queen, Adam Lambert ‘Live Around The World’ – Rock legends Queen and their current frontman Adam Lambert debut at #1 on this week’s ARIA Albums Chart with the live set Live Around The World. Featuring a selection of performances by the band from across the globe between 2014 and 2020, the release includes their entire set from the Fire Fight concert, which first appeared on Artists Unite for Fire Fight (#1 Mar. ’20). It’s the second Queen album to hit #1 in as many years, having hit the top spot in early-2019 with Bohemian Rhapsody (The Original Soundtrack) (#1 Jan. ’19).
#2: BLACKPINK ‘The Album’ – At #2, K-pop stars BLACKPINK debut with The Album, their first Korean language album. The quartet’s first Albums Chart entry includes previous singles ‘How You Like That’ (#12 Jul. ’20) and ‘Ice Cream’ (#16 Sept. ’20), as well as the newly-charting ‘Lovesick Girls’ (#27) and ‘Bet You Wanna’ (#42), plus appearances by Cardi B and Selena Gomez.
#3: Bon Jovi ‘2020’ – Veteran American rockers Bon Jovi return at #3 with their 15th studio album, 2020. The band’s first album since This House Is Not For Sale(#1 Nov. ’16) was originally meant to be released in May but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It features tracks inspired by the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement. Bon Jovi have nine ARIA #1 albums to their name over their long career.
#4: 21 Savage & Metro Boomin ‘Savage Mode II’ – American rapper 21 Savage and producer Metro Boomin join forces again and debut at #4 with Savage Mode II. The album is the sequel to the duo’s 2016 EP Savage Modeand features guest spots by Drake and Young Thug, among others. 21 Savage and Metro Boomin also charted when they collaborated with Offset on Without Warning (#39 Jul. ’17).
#8: Corey Taylor ‘CMFT’ – Slipknot and Stone Sour leader Corey Taylor releases his debut solo album CMFT and debuts at #8. It’s Taylor’s first entry on the chart since Slipknot hit #1 with their sixth album, We Are Not Your Kind (#1 Aug. ’19). CMFT is this week’s ARIA Vinyl Albums Chart #1.
#11: Bryson Tiller ‘A N N I V E R S A R Y’ – American R&B singer-songwriter Bryson Tiller takes out his second career Top 50 entry at #11 with A N N I V E R S A R Y. It’s the follow-up to Tiller’s second album, True To Self (#12 Jun. ’17) and includes an appearance by Drake on the track ‘Outta Time’.
#14 & #30: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard ‘Demos Vol. 1 + Vol. 2’ & ‘Live In Asheville ’19’ – Melbourne’s King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard take out their fifth and sixth Top 50 entries for 2020 as they debut at #14 with Demos Vol. 1 + Vol. 2 and at #30 with Live In Asheville ’19. Demos Vol. 1 + Vol. 2 is a 28-track collection of raw tracks from between 2011 and 2020. The live album was recorded at a show in Asheville, North Carolina in September last year and becomes the group’s fifth live album to appear in the Top 50. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have also charted this year with Live in Adelaide ’19 (#6 Jan. ’20), Live in Paris ’19 (#9 Jan. ’20), Live in Brussels ’19 (#34 Jan. ’20) and Chunky Shrapnel (#2 Jul. ’20).
#16: Mariah Carey ‘The Rarities’ – Pop megastar Mariah Carey debuts at #16 on this week’s Albums Chart with The Rarities. With a track listing personally selected by Carey, it includes previously unreleased songs from Carey’s catalogue with a personal meaning to her. The release of The Rarities coincides with the 30th anniversary of Mariah Carey’s self-titled debut album, as well as the release of her memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey.
#18: Oasis ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ – British rock legends Oasis return to the Top 50 at #18 with their classic second album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? Its resurgence comes in the week it celebrated its 25th anniversary, with new reissues being released on vinyl and digitally. The album spent five straight weeks at #1 in February/March 1996.
#19: Angie McMahon ‘Piano Salt’ – ARIA-nominated Melbourne singer-songwriter Angie McMahon hits the chart at #19 with the EP Piano Salt. It features re-worked versions of tracks from her album debut album Salt (#5 Aug. ’19), as well as several covers. Salt was nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Independent Release in 2019.
#31: Hilltop Hoods ‘State Of The Art (Instrumental Edition)’ – Adelaide hip hop heroes hit this week’s Top 50 at #31 with State Of The Art (Instrumental Edition). The instrumental version of their fifth album State Of The Art (#1 Jun. ’09) is the first release in a special limited-edition vinyl series comprising the trio’s latest 4 studio albums. State Of The Art won Best Urban Release and Engineer of the Year at the 2009 ARIA Awards.
#42: Cosmo’s Midnight ‘Yesteryear’ – Sydney electronic duo Cosmo’s Midnight return to the Top 50, debuting at #42 with Yesteryear. The second album from the duo consisting of twin brothers, Cosmo and Patrick Liney comes two years on from their debut, What Comes Next (#36 Jun. ’18). ARIA Award winner Ruel makes an appearance on the track ‘Down For You’.

I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
