Beginning a new musical journey and chapter of immersive songwriting and emotive performances with powerhouse vocals, Melbourne chanteuse Thndo returns with her latest gospel and R&B offering ‘Fall’, which sees the singer baring her heart and soul in this devastatingly powerful song journaling the realisation that some things are just never going to work. Due for release on Friday 30 September, ‘Fall’ is Thndo’s first release since her critically acclaimed performances as a finalist on The Voice Australia 2022 under the watchful eye of Keith Urban and appearances on the return of ABC’s iconic music quiz show Spicks and Specks.
“…hands down we just saw one of the best performances I’ve ever seen on this stage” – Keith Urban, The Voice Australia
Out now via Ditto, ‘Fall’ is a tale of the universal fears and acceptance that comes with long term love and letting go. A track with timeless melodies and laden with choir inspired soulful harmonies, the lyrics narrate both the importance and hardships of survival and self-reliance “Too afraid to fall, I know you’re not at the bottom waiting to catch me, don’t want to risk it all, cause I could end up alone and lonely”.
In celebration of the release, the Zimbabwean-born ‘First Lady of Soul and R&B’ Thndo invites new audiences into Thndo’s genre transcendent world of music on her ‘The Reintroduction Tour’ during October and November. Under the musical direction of James Bowers with stunning accompaniment by strings of The Penny Quartet, ‘The Reintroduction Tour’ will see Thndo and her band take to the stages with headline shows in Victoria, NSW, Queensland, ACT plus special performances at Chapel Off Chapel as part of the Victoria Government ‘On The Road Again’ Initiative, Wangaratta Jazz Festival and Wynnum Fringe Festival and is sure to delight audiences from all walks of life.
“I’m really excited for people to hear my latest offering. I completely wore my heart on my sleeve with this track, and said all the things I felt I couldn’t when I was still in my last relationship”. – Thndo

STREAM ‘FALL’ – OUT NOW
Reciprocity is the bare minimum
10 years and we are still navigating and I don’t know where we are going
The cracks are showing
When I try to leave, you begging me to stay
This exchange happens almost every day and I
Don’t know what we’re trying for
Please give me a reason why I should stay and fight
Don’t want to waste away, stuck in our same old ways
I’ve given my all to you, what more else can I do?
Too afraid to fall, I know you’re not at the bottom waiting to catch me
Don’t want to risk it all, cause I could end up alone and lonely
I’d almost rather be here by myself
Than to have you thinking that there’s somebody else
So I put on my armour, and brace myself for the drama, drama
A constant stream of accusations
For this long, I’ve lost my patience
And I’m not one for making ultimatums but I gotta save myself
Please give me a reason why I should stay and fight
Don’t want to waste away, stuck in our same old ways
I’ve given my all to you, what more else can I do?
Too afraid to fall, I know you’re not at the bottom waiting to catch me
Don’t want to risk it all, cause I could end up alone and lonely
Too afraid to fall, I know you’re not at the bottom waiting to catch me
Don’t want to risk it all, cause I could end up alone and lonely

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
