Ahead Of Summer Australian Tour Dates!

This band continues to kick up a hedonistic rock-funk hoo-ha. If such a thing didn’t exist before then it does now, thanks Thunder Fox.”
Triple J Unearthed, Dave Ruby Howe

“They embody this romance with every ounce of their beings, keeping their crowds burning and their clothes, for the most part, off.”
Happy Magazine

“When you’ve got that bass, horns and the type of swagger only really reserved for those who can walk the walk as they can talk the talk, you’ve got a formula that can’t fail.”

With their summer tour rapidly approaching and the release of their latest single ‘Been Busy’ putting them squarely back on the radar of many, Sydney’s Thunder Fox have gone one step further, dropping their long awaited debut album, LOVE AT FIRST SNIFF.

A collection of music that comes wrapped in dedicated grooves, swagger drenched arrangement and vocals that are so easy to sink into, Love At First Sniff is Thunder Fox at their creative best. A perfect snapshot of the six piece group, who have taken the experiences of the last few years flourishing on the road, presented with cheekiness and charm.

Released ahead of their national Australian tour, the album is Thunder Fox’s introduction to newcomers to the fold and for longtime fans, a gift.

Recorded in Sydney with Daniel Willington (ILUKA, Battlesnake) and Steve Smart (Northeast Party House, City Calm Down) on mastering, the 13-track album is perfect for fans of artists including Anderson .Paak, Hiatus Kaiyote, Vaudeville Smash and D’Angelo. Recent single ‘Been Busy’ is exemplary of the album’s moments of introspection, while Thunder Fox remain playful with tone, nostalgia and romanticism in their work throughout the album.

From ‘Baby I’m Famous’ to ‘Squeedup Vol 2’ and ‘Look At U’, we hear different sides of the band’s artistry. Of course, a band like Thunder Fox is going to be known for big personalities and energetic and entertaining live shows. Still, when you listen to how each album track weaves together, a wider picture of the band’s love for expressive, groove-laden music – not to mention whipsmart songwriting – becomes ever clearer.

Bringing their personality and sense of humour to the visuals as they have done with the music, Thunder Fox worked with director Nick Allen on the ‘Been Busy’ music video. Filming the piece at Sydney’s Green Key Studios, a taste of the Thunder Fox experience is what you get when you lay your eyes on this one for the first time.

A beloved live band, Thunder Fox are returning to stages around the country this summer, starting in Canberra with a show at The Basement on November 22nd. Having spent much of 2018 touring internationally through Europe, the band has returned to Australia reinvigorated and ready to unleash their new collection of music on fans who have been with them since Day One.
